It is with great pleasure that we launch this call for the first interplanetary Rebel Clown Army mobilisation around the G8 summit 2007.
The summit is being hosted in Heiligendamm, Germany, from 6th to 8th June 2007. It brings together the leaders of the eight self-declared most powerful nations on Earth. They will plan the further domination of people and the planet."
Background:
The Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army is a UK-based anti-authoritarian activist group that uses clowning and other non-violent actions to challenge corporate globalisation, war and similar actions that the group opposes.
"CIRCA" emerged out of the direct action movement and has participated in protests against George W Bush's visit to the UK in 2003 and demonstrations against the 2003 invasion of Iraq. Those participating in CIRCA actions typically dress in military-style camouflage clothing supplemented with brightly coloured trimmings and political logos. The costumes both create a comical atmosphere and serve to maintain anonymity, which can be very useful in protest situations. 'Armaments' are usually limited to feather dusters, although some carry water pistols.

German activity:
The Clandestine Insurgent Rebel Clown Army were active in Germany just this past Saturday (February 24, 2007). Around 25 of them joined the Opera Ball Demo in Frankfurt. See photo attached above.
