Did anyone get hail tonight? How about car dents due to
melon size ice rockets from the sky?

That is what I call a storm rolling in. Don't see that that often here. Most storms are pale in comparison to tornado alley.

its pretty cool. its amazing how once the storm passes that the air is so crisp. Its due to the ionised particles in the air or something i think. It feels so much fresher once the storm passes.

No ice, but as I was just about to go out, when I was hit by a thousand leaves, sand, and a plastic bottle (in the face). I was literally thrown against someone's car by the wind. I took it as a sign to go home. Especially since I was soaken wet.
Its a beautiful storm though, very poetic.

The weather has been like that in England at the moment too!
The time before my arrival in Munich is slowly decreasing... 2 months to go...

Yep, nice storm - cooled things off. Fun strobe effects too. Here's a pic from my window (had the flash on, ergo reflected raindrops )

Yeah, that was great! I stood on my balcony for a good half hour just watching the show. I love scary weather.

Hmm yeah and I was actually caught out in it! I like storms too, but frm the safety of a warm house.
I was at the Dachauer Volksfest, where the roof of the main beer tent was ripped open and everyone was sent outside. Fortunately we were under a different stall under cover (the winds were so strong!) and afterwards when it calmed down a bit we saw so much damage ; trees fallen into cars breaking the whole roof, branches all over the place, trees on the main roads so that cars had to zig-zag around them. It was pretty worrying for the V-shaped car I saw which had the tree sticking out of it

One of my other
favourite German words is "Unwetter" meaning "Bad Weather". And last night was a very good example of "Unwetter" if ever there was one.
Here's another photo courtesy of
munich friends and their

Flogger- me too! I pedaled about a block from the biergarten and was literally blown back to the entrance...which worked for me.
