Hi Everyone,

I just wanted to post and say hi! I'm living in Grobenzell and have been here for about a month... I'm finding it really hard to find people to make friends with! I'm from Australia- and I can't stand the language barrier!!! I start german lessons on Thursday but I don't have high expectations that it'll be a quick fix!!! I really just want to meet some cool people to hang out with! Maybe I'll come along to a meet up next weekend!

Cheers,
M biggrin.gif

I used to live in Groebenzell when i first moved to Munich and found it a little quiet for my liking but anyway, welcome to the madhouse smile.gif

Hey Blue Dave,

thanks! I really like Grobenzell! It is quite, but really close and easy to get to munich so its ok!! biggrin.gif Although I guess it would be better to live closer to the action! laugh.gif

Don't worry, Pento. Your English seems pretty decent for an Aussie. cool.gif
Welcome.

Hi Pento, don't mind the boys, they can't help it. Welcome to Munich, and living in the sticks will actually help learning German - you have to speak it out there. But I'm sure we'll meet you in some billabong in town.

Thanks guys! I'm trying desperately to make friends! lol I'm so lonely! I hopefully will make it to something maybe next week to meet some people! But I'm scared... its kind of weird going up to complete strangers and saying 'will you be my friend' laugh.gif I hope no one bites my head off!

Catch you all later
Pento!

Don't think of it like that at all. Think of it like rent-a-crowd. Instant bunch of people, most of whom have been in exactly the same position as you at one time or another. Some you'll like, some you'll dislike. Meet a couple you like who also like you and you're sorted. If it doesn't work out at your first event simply go along to something else and meet a whole other bunch of people. Easy peasy lemon squeezy.

Hey Pento, Welcome to germany. I live in the sticks too and it definitely helps with the langage. I'm also from Adelaide.
