Key copying without the required security document

Hi. I have lost a spare copy of keys to my flat. I am have family coming to stay and one set of keys. I lost the little white paper to show the key cutter that it is okay to copy the locked key. The hausmeister, as well as the Verwaltung, have been no help. Does anyone know anyhwere in Munich that would cut a copy of the locked key? has anyone managed to get this done? Even if I show them that I am resident of my own flat, they still wont do it where Ive gone.. Its very frustrating.. looking for any tips..

get another paper that allows you to get a spare key made!

Would be logical, made tons of requests for that, and the hausmeister and hausverwaltung have been no help. They have not for the past 2 months and 20 requests later, provided me with a new paper. What I am really looking for, is if someone has found a key cutters in Munich that will copy locked keys.. I heard there might be one near the HBF that does it...

There is one somewhere near the HBF that will do it, and once I had someone in Karstadt cut one for me without asking for ID...

Of course, I had to get a whole new set of locks since I have no idea how many keys to this place had been cut - but that's another story.

Get a new lock and as many keys as you want. Just don't lose the little credit card thingy that comes with it..

the building said no to a new lock on my door.. its been a real pain.. the only thing i can think of is finding a key cutters that will help me..

Screw the building people.. If your only changing the lock on your Apt. door, they can't say anything..
Just make sure you put the old lock back in when you move out.. This way you know exactly
who has a key to your Apt. and can controll who get those keys.

Besides if you don't tell them they will never know...

Others will prob. claim that if you are gone and there is a fire then the HausMeister will need a key to get in...
If there is a fire, the Fire Dept. will break down the door.. Do you really think they will wait for a key?

Same for broken pipes.. FD will break the door down..

Other than the fact that they will want as many key copies back as they originally gave you.

The keycutter in the basement of Kaufhof at Rotkreuzplatz cut a security key for me. I had to bring my passport for ID and he wrote down the details, along with my address. It's to cover his ass in case a break-in is reported afterwards with the shiny new key he cut, he can pass on the blame.

Go to Mr Minit on the 3rd floor (I think) in the Services area.

I got a key cut at the Marienplatz Galeria Kaufhof Mr Minit just last week and they didn't ask me for a thing.
