Voodoo Party at Hairy Mary's

Hairy Mary's is putting on a 'Voodoo Party' in honour of carnaval/mardi gras. I stopped by the other night and the place is looking fab with decorations up and everything.

Rumors being that there'll be Jello shots! ('Jelly' for you silly brits) and a live band 'The Black Arab'.

Any one who's anyone will be there.

Well, well. I feel like I missed my Mardi Gras this year. Plus this would be a good way to make up for punking out tonight.

Anyone got any more details? There's nothing on the HM website about it.

Now that I think of it, the last time I did Jello shots was Krewe of Oak Midsummer Mardi Gras, the night before I evacuated for Katrina. I don't remember much after that...

It's being billed as "Carnival/Mardi Gras Voodoo Party." I was in there last night and they've done the place up with some voodoo decorations, and I know Laura has Jell-o shots chilling as we speak. (Plus Mark promised me he'd order a fresh bottle of bourbon, if you're so inclined.) There'll be live music by someone/something called The Black Arab. Doors open at 8:30 tonight. And it's Hairy Mary's, so it should be a crazy time, as always.
