EUNomad thought there might already me a TT poets meet-up but I can find no evidence of one. Does anyone know anything about one? Any TT veterans out there?
If not, is anyone interested in coming along to one? I would propose a once-a-month meet-up either zu hause or in a quiet comfortable cafe/bar. Perhaps the first one at least should be in a cafe.
We could bring along one of our own poems for feedback and discussion and/or discuss a particular poet or poem.
What do you think??

Poets or crap poets?

Who said anything about either/or? As long as they have red-wine stained teeth and a predilection for mohn-semmel at the very least it's good enough for me.
Serious point though. This meet-up should in no way be considered pretentious. I imagine something very down-to-earth.

Only english ? Not that I think I write poetry in anyway. But used to be good for my own mental health to scramble on a piece of paper.

I don't think there has to be an English only rule.

Hey, I was being serious. I am a crap poet. I only do crap. So I was wondering whether you are into crap poetry too or whether you are into
the other kind?

see, I knew there were crap poet meetings... I read about them and thought it would be fun to go to
Our writing group is open to all languages but most people write in English. There was a poetry slam last weekend in Munich and the poets read in their own languages. I think it is a good idea to set up a date and allow anyone who writes poetry to attend.. the crap poets will add a bit of humor... I think I would be under the crap poet... If you do it though, I will gladly podcast the poems.. that would be fun :-)

My poetry is totally super-awesome. Always. And it rhymes. I can't stand poems that don't rhyme. If its a load of words that don't ryhme, its not a bloody poem is it.

Maybe EU Nomad was referring to the
Schöpfer Stammtisch.Otherwise, feast your eyes on this:

I see! Well, crap and normal poetry both have their merits. Crap poetry is more fun to post than serious poems but if we do organise a poetry meetup I think crap and serious poetry can both be represented. Maybe we could have a crap session one time and a serious session the next...?

For all I know, the Schöpfer Stammtisch was discontinued long ago (didn't survive Saan's departure from TT).

I would be interested in a poetry writing get-together -- my poetry is crap, but not on purpose. Any plans for a meeting?

Not yet, but I'm still really interested. I'll try and set something up for sometime soon and see what the interest is like.

hmmm let me podcast it if you decide to get a bunch of poets together. I love poetry but like DR said, my poetry doesn't rhyme, it is prose.. I did try writing a poem and made it into song lyrics.. Any idea when you would be having a meeting?

I don´t really do the rhythm and rhyme thing either. Or didn´t, when I last wrote poetry...definitely interested in a meeting, just let me know when and where!

Should be something planned within the next couple of weeks. Hope everyone's working on something profound or profoundly crap...

Really? That's fascinating. Perhaps you can perform it after my moving recital of Nottingham's Full of Knobwanks
