Mandantenverhältnis

The context is an online-marketing company that optimises websites and undertakes online advertising in order to increase traffic to your website.


I could use some help with "Mandantenverhältnis". The best I've come up with is "instruction", as in instructing a solicitor. But legal language is my weak point, so any better suggestions gratefully received.

Would "client/customer orders" do?
"Our interaction with lawfirms leads to twenty specific inquiries and up to four client/customer orders weekly."

Generally, one 'retains' a law firm, but the plural noun form (retainments) isn't used much.

'instruction' sounds good in "up to four new client instructions per week". I suppose it depends on the audience (legally qualified or not) - I'm not!

I would think 'retention' is the nominal form of 'retain' - however this is from the client's point of view so wouldn't fit here.

The audience would be non-legal.

'new clients'?

Edit: MB beat me to it, although I'd probably go with 'resulting in ...'

Went for "new instructions" in the end. I think it's clear from the context what it means, even if the term "instruction" isn't clear - 20 enquiries each week, or which four become a job. Now I'm not sure about "betreuen", but it's too late now...
