Shameless hi-jack: Lemar in Brunnstrasse, an Afghani place. If you kindly would organize, your royal highness Allershausen. Maybe sometime in April. Looks like I really missed out but so is life.

SB- great minds... I was talking tonight with some people about organizing another Lemar night, end of March early April... should we leave it to Allershausen?

Hmmm, me organising something? Are you aware of a certain phrase about booze-ups and breweries?
I'll have to think about it. I've been given the job of organising the Friday beer garden thing next week, lets see how I manage with that first!
Not living in Munich means I don't know many restaurants there but I reckon I could follow your suggestion, just don't blame me if the food is crap!

Lemar doesn't serve crap food, that is the best part about it.

Bloody hell, this is getting dangerously official looking. I'm going to have to start taking some responsibility lessons. Oh and by the way, I'm not royalty, I despise the idea of royalty, come the revolution they'll be the first up against the wall.

It's dead easy: Contact the restaurant and ask how big a group they can take without quality suffering. Annouce a prospective date and time, link to the restaurant. See who answers how. Set the exact date and time, inform the restaurant, count noses, show up, have a good time.

Ok, I will probably organise this, but I'm not going to organise something in a place I've never even seen, let alone eaten in, so I will be in town on Friday and will poke my nose in and see what I think.

Does sound good though, but I still want to see it myself, I can kill two birds with one stone and try and talk to them about numbers usw.

So, I went there on Friday, had a quick look in and spoke to the people, who seemed friendly enough. So I now propose a date of Friday 23rd March, say about 7pm. Anyone interested let me know here, or if you prefer PM me and I will organise it. Maybe the moddys can change the title please.

The date isn't set in stone, it's just easier for me if it's a Friday. Should a lot of people not like the date it can be changed, I just don't want to!

I am flexible except on 15 March but wouldn't mind desperately if the date were set for a week or two later.

for the 30th I'm a maybe - assuming the next whisky event isn't on 30th after all, as I had already registered interest for that too...the tribulations of a bored contractor surfing on TT all day looking for events to sign up for

I did also try the restaurant for the 23rd as an alternarive, but it was already fully booked.

Right, it would appear that most people can make the 23rd, so thats the date. I'll just sit and let the numbers come in and book it closer to the date.

which one are we going to? the one at Karlspl needs to be booked now, its better if you set a limit, as that place is super busy and they are not very big.
Last time I begged and got 20 seats with about 2 weeks notice.

okay, then I would reserve a table now, and then set a limit on how many they are willing to have, as its really small, and not possible to play around with tables and number so good.
Last time we limited it to 20 people, 2 tables of 10.

Shame on you ALLAH! Maybe you should offer some attraction...to get the crowds in. Tell us about the food and so on...or suggest a pre-meal cocktail somewhere...?

I would love to attend, just make sure you reserve already this week especially for a friday night.

Helena, I can't tell you about the food, I've never eaten there, but these people had some nice things to say about it! TTers at Lemar.
As for cocktails, I don't do cocktails, BEER, drink of the Gods

We can meet up at the Hackerhaus on the corner of Hacker/Sendlingerstrasse for pre-food drinkies and I will tell you ghoulish stories of when I worked in that same building four years ago.

And it wouldn't be possible to find a place that sells cocktails and beer???
