A-man, you can rip my head of, it can only be an improvement. I have got five shots to the neck trying to loosen up the muscle causing my sick headaches and not only does my head still hurt I am drowsy and nauseous. All I want to do is go home and sleep. So Scogs and I can't make it. My apologies to you and all the rest of the gang, I was looking forward to Mr. Meat&Potato and toasting him.

Great night, and again, great food, the couches made it difficult to chat to others at the other end of the table,

Thanks very much for organising, Allershausen. I had a really good night and the food and cocktails were great.

Seating arrangement was unfortunate though - that alcove was never going to seat 20 and having three people at a separate table was hardly ideal. Very nice, as it turned out, but not really the point of the event. Also embarrassing that the waiters asked another couple to leave to accommodate us - the man hadn't even finished his drink! The three of us were later asked to move again and squash onto a table for two to free up space in case it was needed - decided to wait and see and in fact it turned out to be unnecessary, so they left us alone after that. Good job too, as there literally wouldn't have been room for the plates! Their policy of trying to use every single chair in the restaurant really lets them down.

Also a very bizarre moment when I was brought a cocktail, stirred it, was poised to take a sip and promptly had it snatched away by a waiter without a word! He gave it to someone else a few minutes later and after waiting a good while longer, I finally got mine. No explanation, no apology. Whole thing was a bit Fawlty Towers.

All in all though, we had a great time and I was really impressed by the food. Also welcomed the chance to mingle at drinks afterwards - good to meet some new (to me) people and do some catching up. See you all again soon!

I enjoyed too, although it was spoilt by them not seating us all together. The waiter tried to tell me that he told me that before, which was true, but only the day before not when I originally booked it. However the food was excellent and the service was good too, apart from the disappearing cocktail trick! And to round it off I had a nice little sleep on the S-Bahn home! I did take some pictures, but they're not very good so I'm not going put them in the gallery, however this one shows that we enjoyed ourselves!

It tuns out the gay waiter had a bit of a crush on me and apologized profusely for the seating confusement.

Would have been rather nice if someone had apologised to those directly affected! Good to know they did say something though. Even if I don't really see where confusion could have crept in, since Allershausen clearly booked for 20 and it seems they suddenly told him the day before that we couldn't all sit together. If I'd realised that, I would have unsigned once I knew I'd be on the late side. There was no way I could get there early. Still, we all had a good time in the end.

of course we enjoyed ourselves Allershausen! Dramadiva, ER and myself always have a good time where ever we go

I am so glad you could enjoy most of the evening, I remember that alcove well from my last visit (they didn't put us there). Thank you for the pic, A-man, you are let off from any punishment.

A very enjoyable evening. Thanks, Allershausen, for organising it. The food was good, and the cocktails were quite powerful. I like Tiggi's "Fawlty Towers" comment, though!
