Okay, I was putting this off until I felt confident about standing for three hours, but there aren't many games left. Several of my fellow North Americans have expressed interest in going to see an ice hockey match, so we should try to settle on a date. EHC Eisbären Berlin play at the Sportforum Hohenschönhausen, which is about 20 minutes from Alexanderplatz on the M5. (There may be a more direct route from Prenzlberg.) They only have two more home games scheduled: next Friday night (23.Feb) at 19:30 against the Straubing Tigers and the following Sunday afternoon (4.Mar) at 14:30 against the Augsburg Panthers. The standing sections are cheaper and more fun, but they're general admission by section, so it's a good idea to arrive almost an hour ahead of time to stake out a good spot. With that in mind, which of the two dates works better for interested people?

I know very little of hockey, but ... I might be interested to go. I need to check with work schedule on the dates, but I'm thinking the Sunday one. What do the tickets run price wise, and where/how to get them?

The standing-section (Stehplatz) tickets are €15 (€10 for students etc). Seats in the sitting sections (Sitzplatz) are €25 or €30, depending on the section. In my experience (here and in Bern, CH) the standing sections are more fun anyway. I've always just bought tickets at the rink before the game; since the Stehplatz tickets just let you into a section, it's a good idea to show up early and stake out a good spot, especially if there's a group of us.

Okay, the last game is this Sunday, March 4, at 14:30. I'm planning to go, and can meet interested parties 13:20ish at S Alexanderplatz or 13:45ish at the rink. Who's up for some hockey?
