UA - there is a dirndl shop on Hohenzollernstr which def has black blouses at the moment as I was in there yesterday - dont know about the black but their white/cream blouses are all in the 20-25 eur range so assume black will be the same. Cant remember the name but it is opposite Rewe.

Edit: it is called Best & co.

Thanks, anything more central, anyone? Will check the shop off Viktualienmarkt (Trachten & Mehr) on the corner of Rosenthal at some point.

Just got a text from eurobabs that all 2nd Tracht is 50% off at Kleidermarkt on Tal from now until the end of the Wiesn, if that helps anyone.

A Dirndl you say? Have you tried looking in any of the shops in Munich?

WIESN TRACHT UND MEHR
Im Tal is a good address, cheap Dirndls there. In all kind of colors and lenghs. You can buy Dirndls from 50€ to 100€ (sometimes including apron and blouse)
Blouses are about 19€ and aprons 9-15€
I know the prices, cause I worked there last year. But be warned, it will be full of people the next days until the Wiesn is over... to buy a Dirndl there you better go in Wintertime... you'll have the whole shop for yourselve and the Prosseco...

RESALES MARKET
I know there is one in Sonnenstraße and one in the area of Ostbahnhof (between Ostbahnhof and Rosenheimerplatz)

Ahh the Prosseco... they kept it flowing last week when Susanne and I bought our Trachten there! Which no doubt explains how we wound up buying lots more stuff than we planned to! And no doubt that is the point of the Prosseco in the first place!

But seriously- great store and wonderful people. We were at the Tal location between Isartor and Marienplatz. Sara and Daniel worked with us for two hours and made it look easy even with the crowd in the store. (You'll immediately recognize Daniel from their advertising!) Oh yes-one more use for the Prosseco...they are short on changing room space, but after several glasses, everyone was trying on their Dirndls and Lederhosen in the aisles!

So, another vote for Wiesn Tracht & Mehr!

I was shopping a couple of weeks ago in Hettläge, - they had a huge selection, and I got a complete set (dirnl, blouse and apron) for €100.

Kleidermarkt im Tal has new Dirndls for €29,90, cotton knee length ones in blue pink or apricot colours!
the apron & blouse selection is quite small so you can nip over the road to Trachten und Mehr...they've millions.

Kleidermarkt also had a funky leopard-print Dirndl that I nearly bought (thanks Katrina!!!) if anyone's into that!

I got girly-lederhosen for under €50 and my friends got dirndls for under €30 at the second hand store right by the U-Bahn stop on sonnenstrasse (I think the stop itself is Karlsplatz)

Do all C&A's in Germany sell tracht, or only the ones in and around Munchen?
Hillkart
I found some nice Dirndl Styles at http://www.trachtenhimmel.de

Good Price and Quality
