There's another social group that I'm in that has a standing reservation on the middle Saturday of the Oktoberfest. A lot of our group come from overseas and there's other clashing events on in the world this year: "Interhash" and "Iraq". That mean we may have lots of spare capacity on our booking - capacity for TT!

Here's the other group's details:

We should have plenty of notice before September in order to publicise the tables to TT.

MH3 has 120 places booked at the Wies'n and are expecting to have 30 or so spare this year. Keep up the training at Andechs, that's all I can say ;-)
Showem
With only 1 week left, we are pretty sure we will have extra spaces left. I can recommend the whole weekend, 3 days of drinking, running and debauchery, but we have deals for just Saturday and if we are desperate near Friday to get rid of some chicken and beer coupons, seating at just the fest may be up for grabs.

Anyone who is interested in coming along should check out the Munich Hash webpage. If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Hi all,

Life has been too hectic to join you lot yet :-(

However, I'm around next weekend and interested so what is:

"OKTOBERFESTHash '04 is Friday 24th to Sunday 26th SEPTEMBER 2004"

OK, I've seen that it's "A drinking club with a running problem" but what's the deal? Age group? Fitness level? Alcoholics? Do they always "run" around carrying beer bottles?

I know there was 2500 "hashers" running around the centre of Cardiff (my home town), a couple of months back - but I couldn't join in. It looked like fun and they were more on the social side than actual runners. So does anybody know much about the Munich Hash House Harriers?

Jones.

They're a fun social club that, yes, runs and drinks, though not always at the same time. You don't have to be a drinker or a runner to join, though that certainly helps. About the only thing you need is a sense of humour, an ability not to take yourself or others seriously and an interest in having a good time. I'm a bit out of shape, but I can manage the runs without any problem. Meanwhile, I've met some nice people- Ruggie and ShowEm among them- and had quite a bit of fun. Strongly recommended.
