I am flying out next week back to the states and would like to try out Gunther Murphys breakfast before I leave. I am thinking Sunday the 18th of Feb for an Irish breakfast and maybe a few pints. I think about 2 PM.
sarabyrd
Is that a German invitation? That means you foot the bill unsure.gif
I am a possible and might even shlepp Haggis Junior along just to scare you.
perdido
Im not footing anyones bill haha. Just a quiet afternoon drink and meal. I am too broke to buy anyone a pint.
Carm
since I have a few days off (finally) I think I might just pop down for one of the famous breakies I keep hearing about.
She-Ra
Wouldn't dare to miss it.
Uncle Nick
That sounds good!
MoiLV
yumm! I'll try to come!
Joliet Jake
Dude, I'll see you there. cool.gif
bern
Will try to make it. Can't have you leave (again) without saying goodbye!! wink.gif
Joliet Jake
Yet another Sunday afternoon spent at GMs...just this time without the rugby. Maybe we can call up the folks responsible for the Six Nations and have them move one of next week's games up a few days. Nah, we'll just have to make due with mocking the Cowboys.
ThePosterWithNoName
Great idea, right now I'm a definite maybe (I'd like to come but the flesh might be hungover/prep-ing for my German lesson).

Will only know for sure when I get up on Sunday.

Sorry to be vague but it goes with the rest of my image.
UrbanAngel
I'm a maybe + 1. Is there any kind of reservation needed to be made, or can we just turn up?

Get yer hands off my super Saturday!
perdido
Oh dear did not think about reservations. Do you think it will be needed?
Keydeck
Judging by the number of people there at that time on a Sunday when the rugby is on, I seriously doubt you'll need a reservation. Gauge the numbers and if it's looking like fifteen or more just give them a call on the Saturday to make sure.
kathie
Assuming this may turn into an all-dayer, I might come along with my sister after the football...
3 Lions
You may want to make some reservations, there are two FA Cup games on Sunday.

Fulham v Tottenham, 16:00 (17:00 Here)
Preston v Man City, 13:10 (14:10 Here)

Also, I'll be there. wink.gif

Shameless bump from a bastard..

Once I had a love and it was a gas
Soon turned out had a heart of glass
Seemed like the real thing, only to find
Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind
Once I had a love and it was divine
Soon found out I was losing my mind
It seemed like the real thing but I was so blind
Mucho mistrust, love's gone behind

In between
What I find is pleasing and I'm feeling fine
Love is so confusing there's no peace of mind
If I fear I'm losing you it's just no good
You teasing like you do

So i will be there by 1:30 I believe and hope to grab some seats. I was curious because I really want to try a real Irish breakfast (everyone say their great) what to order. Scogs had some egg thingy last time that he said was very good. Any other ideas or names of entrees?
Joliet Jake
Well, I would suggest the "Irish Breakfast". From the GMs website:

QUOTE
All day Irish breakfast grilled Irish Bacon and Irish Pork Sausages served with a fried egg, grilled tomato and toast

Photos of some good meals

or perhaps the new Irish Breakfast wrap?? You'll have a tough time making a decision.
Crawlie
Enjoy the breakfast in GM's and hope to see you in Portland or Eugene sometime soon. Hopefully in our new house
Mariposa
Wish I could come... have a good time! smile.gif

I'm also planning on a 1:30 arrival (or thereabouts). The first FA Cup game doesn't start until after 2, so I don't think seating will be a problem, unless we walk in to find a couple hundred Blue Daves ready to watch ManCity. * shudder *
ThePosterWithNoName
then Might be able to come along for a little while after 2pm.

Do my best mate, just to make sure you're actually going this time wink.gif
Joliet Jake
Excellent afternoon. Thanks for organizing, perdido. We're sorry to see you leaving the area...again. cool.gif
I did learn one thing...there's a helluva difference between GMs on rugby Sunday vs. an off week!!
bern
I'll second that. Twas a lovely afternoon/evening. We'll miss you around these part, Perdido. Make sure you keep in touch!
UrbanAngel
I hope you have a safe trip back, and wish you all the best for your future job and family wink.gif Was great seeing you one last time *snif*
Keydeck
A lovely afternoon. Take care mate. Hasta luego!
Lavender Rain
Uh... that breakfast looks like a heart attack on a plate. Are you sure you want to eat that fat laden, artery clogging, heart-attack causing breakfast unsure.gif ?!!!
Carm
Perdido, sorry, I didn't make it down, but do wish you well.

I just wish you would have said something earlier.
Tiggi
Good point, lavenderrain. I hear they serve alcohol in that place too! And some people even smoke, which makes it kinda hard to smell the flowers.
Joliet Jake
Thankfully the underground location kept us relatively safe from the dangerous UV rays of the cancer-causing sun. Life is full of trade-offs.

Me and the lions ended up at the arc arguing about super heros actually and still here. Green Latern Bitches!!!
sarabyrd
Bye-bye, honey, thanks for dragging us down. See you on The Coast.

Joliet Jake, sowry, I just saw the pics of the breakfast yesterday. Just looking at the pics I had a bit of chest pain wink.gif However, there's an old saying ...don't eat meat, don't smoke...die anyway. In essence, life is really about having fun and sounds like you did. Maybe the next time I will come and join your group. For me, I hope they have muesli or porridge on their breakfast menu.
Keydeck
As far as I know they don't, sowry wink.gif
Lavender Rain
FRUIT??? rolleyes.gif
Joliet Jake
I think I've seen big hunks of kiwi on a stick there once...

(Who would like to volunteer to take that sentence in another direction?)
Lavender Rain
...And just how big were they??? or were they just happy to see you. biggrin.gif Were they "sweet"?
perdido
Well thanks to everyone that was there and the lovely Ms Tuca and the rest of the bar staff. Also thanks Mr 3lions for putting up with my drunk rant on superheros. And also thanks to sara, marshbot, and timmeh for having to listen to that dribble. Cheers all!
