Anyone got any advance news on ticket prices etc?

This should be absolutely awesome

planetmoni
not cheap, between 60-70 EUR...
jimi-in-toytown
Gotta be worth every penny (cent) though surely, what a band and with only one show should be even better.

Can we get the tickets at usual outlets? anyone know?

Thanks in advance (and to planetmoni)

Oh...June is getting expensive already...
cantthinkofawittyname
think they'll be on sale on ticketbox.de from sat i guess if thats when they're out
Boba
You'll be able to get them at München Ticket too. They are even offering a pre-sale.
butler_helen
I am excited already!
planetmoni
me too. :-)
wahoo
why am I not finding ticket info on either of the thinks above?!
cantthinkofawittyname
The only place I can find tickets at the mo is at

http://www.worldticketshop.com/concerts/re..._peppers_munich

...but they're a ridiculous price. That site is also selling tickets for the view for over 80euro, when they're only 14euro on munchen ticket hmm...
planetmoni
i am going to my ticket at the tickets booth downstairs marienplatz zentralverkaufstelle or ticket münchen in the tourist office in the rathaus.
my local radio station broadcasted a few days ago that tickets are available at all Vorverkaufsstellen...
wahoo
What's the probability of these guys selling out?

I have an early flight on Saturday and won't be back until Monday afternoon, and I don't want to miss out!!
SleeplessInMunich
I got my tickets this morning at Marienplatz. There were plenty available so there's no rush.
jimbob
how much are the tickets ??
Blimeygirl
Got ours in Marienplatz for 66,50 EUR, Stehplatz.
lostmymojo
Does anyone know how to get kategorie 2 tickets? The ones on the floor of the arena. muenchenticket.de is selling only the ones in the arena seats.
butler_helen
we got our tickets for the red area from marienplatz yesterday.
lostmymojo
Thanks for the tip butler_helen. I'll try there tomorrow.
chaki
Hi,

I'm selling two sitzplatz tickets for 120 euros.Got them online 2 months ago but I won't be able to go to concert as I'm moving from Munich.
Katrina
BTW the support for RHCP are the Soweto Gospel Choir and Dinosaur Jr.
This made me very happy as seeing Dino Jr always does, but will mean most of the crowd will be deaf by the time RHCP come on hahaha

RHCP tour news - check there for support bands at other venues
egaull
Anyone going to this concert? It would appear that there are still tix available ...

I'm up for going, but I don't want to be standing around in a throng of 50,000 Germans without a soul to talk to or drink a beer with ...
planetmoni
this week ... yipee!
princepomelo
does anyone know whether the floor tickets are still available? I tried checking ticket muenchen but seems that they don't sell the floor tickets anymore. I think I will try to go get a ticket from Marienplatz tomorrow, just knew about this concert today sad.gif well better late than never anyway
butler_helen
are there still standing tickets available for this?
Boba
You can probably go on the day and get them. There's always loads of people selling spares.
Moonboot
anyone any idea when the Chilis come on? not too fussed about the warm up acts.
planetmoni
considering no music after 11pm at the olympicstadium, a 2hour show, so between 8.30-9pm? (9 the latest hopefully)
Moonboot
cool will aim to be there 8.30 latest (our office is having its Sommerfest at 4pm so can get a good few hours in there!)
Katrina
Olypark not saying.
Think Dino Jr on at 8ish, 40min set (so 2 guitar solos for them hahahhahaha), Chilis likely at 9pm.
6:30pm is start according to ticket, that will be the Soweto Gospel Choir on at about 7?

Sounds reasonable.
butler_helen
where do we actually go? as from what I can remember from walking around that area, there is more than one entrance? I want to get there really early and aim to be at the front biggrin.gif

edit: I think I am thinking of the OlympiaHalle? and not the stadium... is there only one entrance to the stadium?
planetmoni
what i love about the oly-venues, halle and stadium is that you can use their webcam and see stages being built and sound checks etc...
smile.gif

planetmoni
i just looked at the webcam again and realised that the stage is located on the wide side. my last concert at olympiahalle was nearly 10yrs ago and then the stage was on the shorter end. so my question is whether this is normal now that the stages are on the wide side?
hello24
Hi All,

I am selling my 2 tickets to today's Red Hot Chilli Peppers concert as I have a family emergency and cannot go.

They are at 66.50 Euros each (I paid 70 Euros for each)
Seats: Block C4 Reihe 60 Platz 1 & 2

Please email me at snaigetina@yahoo.com with your contact number and I will call you asap.

Tina
butler_helen
standing or sitting tickets?
Katrina
Reihe means row means seating
SleeplessInMunich
Its says "Seats" in the post so I'd guess seating. tongue.gif

Damn clever these webcams - they can see sound checks?
butler_helen

of course you can, someone holding a mic on stage? cool.gif
Meklaud
I don't think they are gonna play more than 1.30h because previous gigs these days were that long.
Will see
hello24
tickets sold..thanks
HellesAngel
Does anyone know how anal they will be with the searches on the door, and what sort of queues will build up? I've not been to a concert in Olympiastadion for a while and will turn up around 6pm, probably peak time. Don't want to miss the support waiting in a queue...
sarabyrd
They are mostly out for drinks, I think one bottle à 0.5 litre is permitted. We were not checked for cameras etc. but it was "only" Grönemeyer.
andreaypich
Enjoy dinosaur jr people! I wish they were doing a headlining show...
Katrina
They are - in Berlin.
Flew to London to see them play the Forum in 2005, thought building was about to collapse with weight of riffs. Glorious.
Them playing support here worries me, especially after the reception Sonic Youth got.
Katrina
What did people think? Just really didn't come across to me this time, the occasional genius touches of "Nobody Weird Like Me" and Flea's playing were fine and dandy but the rest? Hmmmm.
alimess
was dissapointed!!! when they left the stage the second time, I was sure they would come back... sadly this did not happen!!! no real contact with the public...
Blimeygirl
A bit disappointing and anti-climatic at the end...stadium lights coming up before 11!!! pishhhh.
'By the Way' was a highlight and the stage set was pretty cool - the rest the jury is still out on in my mind. The venue was a bit of a nightmare for those who needed to use the toilet ph34r.gif Apparently other concert goers who had been at the stadium for other concerts said the set up was unusual.

They were better in Toronto when I saw them on the Californication tour (Stone Temple Pilots opened). That was a great concert (and cost far less).
iain
I don't know I saw them at the air canada centre in Toronto last summer for the Stadium Arcadium tour and I must admit I enjoyed this show a lot more. Might have been the company or the beers, however I thought the show was pretty good. I don't think they know how to conclude a concert though.
