took a risk and didnt go to this one as first time I saw them they were amazing and second time not that good at all. sounds like maybe the right move...

Not too bad, but it got a little tedious through the middle. They have so much great stuff and didn't play enough of their older hits.

I know they probably get sick of playing them, but we're the ones who fork over the cash.

Dunno about the Soweto Choir opening up for them - they sounded fine, but it's not really the right crowd. A bit like if Slipnot supported Tom Jones...

RHP was DONE in '95. Can't believe how much they are charging for tickets now.

Actually, living in Europe let's me relive my musical past. a lot (not all) great bands tour here after their prime. It's a fun nostalgia tour to say the least!

Was never a huge RHCP fan but went anyway because it was one of the few shows that my girlfriend and I could agree on this summer and I like them enough that I would probably someday regret never seeing them.

Spent some time last week watching some Youtube clips of them playing some Mothers Milk stuff in the late 80s. Shouldn't have done that, cause there's no way they could have of lived up to that last night. Overall, I give the show a C+.

Have to take issue with the comment that Europe is a good place to relive music nostalgia. I was a teenager in the late eighties and few bands I listened to then tour Europe. (I'm going to see Poison and Ratt in Denver CO in Aug!)

It's because Europeans, especially Germans in my opinion, have a collective cultural memory of more than about 5 minutes, unlike the record buying majority in Britain and America. 10 years is nothing in cultural terms, and if music was good then it is still good now. I admire the fact the Germans don't have hang ups about being interested in "unfashionable" music.

I do not know if we were at the same concert but it was fantastic.
To me and several thousands of people.
As I see most of people was going there in order to say they were there.
But there were some people who were at Nijmegen and Udine and they were thrilled really.
Me too.
RHCP usually don't communicate with audience, and they finish every concert in this way.
They are here to play not to talk.
For those who knew what to expect it was one of RHCP's better plays.

First time I've seen them live, and I thought it was a good concert. For a bunch of guys who aren't that young anymore, they have an amazing amount of energy, especially Flea leaping and bouncing around the stage. I had a seat in the 80th row, right up at the top - worth it not just for the view of the stage, but also for the panoramic view over the crowds down in the stadium, and on the hill slopes outside.

You reckon?

I think they've released some of their best stuff since then. Californication, By the Way and Stadium Arcadium are all very good albums.

...As for the amount being charged - unfortunately those prices have become the norm.

Sounds good. We're off to see them at AOL in a bit.

agree with katrina.
finishing a concert at 10.40pm is a bit of let down.

I quote everybody: what a disappointment!
Too short and they "forgot" a lot of beautiful songs.
When they switched on the lights I could not believe it, plus the fact that I didn't hear a "Goodbye" at the end, or maybe it was because the quality of the sound was again a disappointment.
Meklaud
They said good bye.All of them!
omjoi
but they didn't say "goodbye omjoi, and thanks for your 60 bucks".
unforgivable.
