I just heard there's going to be a Neo-nazi / Anti-nazi demonstration on Marienplatz tomorrow from 18:00 to 20:00.
Might be worth avoiding the area.
Small Town Boy
Why do the neo-Nazis bother demonstrating when they know the anti-Nazis will be there? Their demonstrations basically cancel each other out. They could all stay at home and watch TV and the end result would be the same.

What are the skinheads actually protesting about anyway? Not enough foreigners being gassed?
Sari
Can we climb St.Peters church and sling shot water balloons filled with mayonaise at them?
Lifeisabuffet
I'll join only under one condition: I want to sling shot water ballons filled with old spoiled milk and ketchup. laugh.gif

But apparently you can't touch them as they'll be demonstrating their dancing skillz.

That's the funniest Nazi picture I've seen in a long time. More people should read this thread at work and bust out laughing. And get the damn Ohrwurm stuck in their heads too.
sarabyrd
I have altered the date to Tuesday, 13.Feb.2007. The only info I could get was from an Antifa site but they probably to have their dates right. The Nazis' excuse is commemorating the Allied attack on Dresden on 13/14 February 1945. FYI.
Pirulero
Shame it's THEM bringing attention to what was a tragedy.
Small Town Boy
Indeed.
Keydeck
Word just in that this is going ahead at the moment.

See Marienplatz webcam.

Agreed! It's a good thing I'm alone in the office as I'm absolutely roaring!

I went down to Marienplatz. Counted 27 neo-nazis, about 100 - 120 people against them, maybe 50 cops.
The fascists had a few black/white/red flags, one Dresden flag and an upside-down U.S. flag.
The non-fascists had U.S., Brit, French and Soviet flags and the more vocal ones were singing that stupid "10 german bombers" chant and "Happy Birthday to you" blink.gif
Boring really but nice to see some people turn up against them.

Never an inappropriate time for that photo. Impossible.
