Hi

I think I've lined up a short term job in Bonn that requires German and English skills, and while I've been learning German grammar in Canada, it hasn't taken very well. So I'll need to keep working on that as well as pronunciation. Does anybody have recommendations for language schools in Bonn, and is it possible to find a student tutor at the university.

Thanks, Dave

Hi Dave,
Welcome to Bonn.
I know about the following institutes in Bonn:

(1)
ABC-Sprachschule
Malusiusstr. 4
53121 Bonn
Tel.: 0228 9 78 36 13
Fax: 0228 9 78 36 14
Email: abc_sprachen@compuserve.com

(2)
Stepup-Sprachschule
Konrad-Adenauer-Platz 19
53225 Bonn
Germany
0228/4224594

For private tutoring, try these numbers: 01801-9955-007-444 and 0178 2119643.

I am sure some university students should be offering tutoring services. I do not recollect the exact web site for these guys. I'll let you know about it later. In the mean time, you can browse minijob and look for people offering nachhilfe. It has a good location and radius search feature so you can look up for people offering this service within a specified radius of your locality.

Hi, Can anyone suggest a good language school (german) in Bonn. Evening classes are a must as I will be working all day. Thanks, A

Hi,
I've taken an intensive course at the Steinke-Institute (http://www.steinke-institut.de/engl_intro.htm), which could be good if you get a good teacher, but they don't have evening courses usually. I am currently taking and evening course at IFS (http://www.ifs-bonn-berlin.de/ENGLISH/IFS_Bonn/ifs_bonn.html) and it is pretty good.
