Just saw this story on the BBC: Traveller held after Manila strip

QUOTE (BBC News)
A German man who was so angered by airport security in the Philippines that he took off his trousers has been arrested for lasciviousness. Hans Jurgen Oskar von Naguschewski, 66, performed the impromptu strip after being asked to go through the X-ray machine twice at Manila airport
Guy
Maybe he was at the Garden and thought it was a security check requirement wink.gif

I've often thought about doing that myself. It won't be long before it's standard procedure.

Jeeez, these days you have to take off your bloody shoes* at the ariport, all because some religious zealot tried to put a bomb in some shoes. Will only take one twat trying to cram explosives into his flies, and airport strips will become "normal".

*particularly disgusting at that ridiculous pikey shed "London" stanstead, where 90% of travellers are dirty evil scum wearing last years flip flops, because they're "on 'olideeee".
KofferInBerlin
Anyone flown with RyanAir recently? I see they've introduced a very revealing security policy.

Don't do Stansted DonR. Innit.

Jeeez, these days you have to take off your bloody shoes at the ariport...

On recent trip to US on way out to San Diego.
Hamburg: no
Zurich: Yes
Los Angeles: yes

On way back:
San Diego: yes
Los Angeles: yes
Zurich: no

At least in US they provide chairs for no-longer-youngsters like me to sit on
whilst removing/restoring said shoes. In Zurich they expected pensioners to hop
on one leg...
