Last year Asha-Munich organized South Indian food festival, and the response was overwhelming. The whole idea of organizing such festivals is to provide people, a platform to meet, enjoy, and making them aware of Asha activities in India.

Keeping up with our tradition, this time we bring you cuisines from the state of Gujarat. Gujrati food brings together a galaxy of flavors and textures in the most delightful way. Blending the sweetness with the aroma of spices, it creates a genre of food where every spoonful conjures up a plethora of flavors and leaves behind a pleasant after-taste.

Time : 18th February 2007, 1100-1600 hrs
Venue: St. Maria Thalkirchen, Fraunbergplatz 1, 81379 Munich

Food Coupon: 12 Euro
Program Details : Along with the Gujrati food there will be games, Rangoli & Fancy dress competition and other events to make this afternoon memorable for you.

Just to mention, the food being served is not on menu in the Indian Restaurants in Munich!!!

Thats right!! the food served here is nowhere available in Indian Restaurants.
It is highly appreciated to reserve your food coupons in advance. on the mentioned phone-number or mail ID
Due to the heavy response, it might not be possible to provide coupons on same day.

This sounds like a very interesting event. However could we have some explanation as to the purpose of the food coupons?

Do you use a portion of a food coupon per dish, or does one food coupon allow you unlimited dishes, or are you given a kind of thali for one food coupon. Unfortunately the website doesn't give any more information than displayed here.

Also what kind of food. South Indian food is predominately vegetarian, but then again this is Germany. The kind of food would be interesting both vegetarians, and non-vegetarians.

You get one dish and a drink for 12€, Food is from Gujarat state (western part of India). Food is prely vegetarian and has 6 different dishes.

We are not in a position to sell any more tickets as we are completely sold out and all the preparations have been done keeping a fix number of people in mind. Thank you for the interest shown in our food festival, we will keep on postings our further events on Toytown.

We would like to thank all of you guys for showing interest in our food festival. It was a great day on Sunday with some wonderful people as our guests. We apologies to the people for whom we were not able to arrange the tickets.
