Within the space of the last half hour, around 5 fire engines and 4 police vehicles raced past on the Hackerbrücke. I've just heard that the SBahns have stopped running. Anyone heard anymore info?

My wife just called me; the underground of
Hauptbahnhof is apparently blocked; I don't know if this is because of the
security conference.
Anyway, before leaving home this afternoon it might be a good idea to check
MVV
There's some kind of Notartzeinsatz thing going on.

Haggis Junior just called in from
Feldmoching, there was an "accident on the line". She said she wished they would just pull the *censored* body off the *censored* tracks and get the trains running again. "Es kommt zu Verzögerungen" is all that they are saying right now.

My wife called me about some Sbahn problems (topic merged with this one) and people say that somebody was injured/killed on the Sbahn tracks right now.
According to the
S-Bahn Störmelder newsletter I just got, it's another paramedic callout.

Edit: Travellers are advised to use the U-Bahn where possible, as no S-Bahns are running between Laim and Donnersberger Brücke. A shuttle is running between Hackerbrücke and Ostbahnhof.

Update - the traffic is now blocked in both ways along the Hackerbrücke as that's where all the fire engines are parked. I heard a rumour that it's because of the
security conference, but it's looking like something else to me

Edit - thanks for the info.
Now there's nothing running between Hackebrücke and Ostbahnhof:

Slowly running again but it will take them forever to get back on schedule.

Right then,
Wife came home an hour late having heard of a "Notarzteinsatz" at Hackerbrücke.
Messed up the train schedule.
Doesnt that mean someone threw a seven, or bought the farm this afternoon?

As it happens I did walk past Hackerbrücke today. Then I got on a tram, intimidated a kid who was shoving past people with a big rucksack, got shouted at by irate German woman who said it was child abuse and that my German was crap (ouch, hit me in my linguistic skills), grinned at woman and told her off in a polite but firm way and then got smiled at by a man & woman who approved of the intimidation, then went back to work. Didn't chuck anyone off a bridge today though.

No, only trams and buses are affected by the conference
Police report says a 33 yr old woman was crossing the rails near Hackerbrücke, was hit by an S-Bahn and seriously injured.
