English-speaking doctors in Cologne - Germany

Hello. I am new here - in Toytown and in Germany!
I recently arrived in Cologne and I am 7 months pregnant. Hence slight alarm about the need to find medical practioners who speak good English. I am looking for a good all round doctor (a GP equivalent) and also a paediatrician, not too far from Barbarossaplatz. Can anyone help with recommendations please? Thanks!

For the pregnancy checks you need a Frauenartz and if nobody can recommend one your best option is to look in the phone book - listed as Ärtze at the front. A GP is a Praktartz. Phone a few in the neighborhood and ask if the doctor speaks English. It's also worth phoning hospitals to choose where you are going to give birth.

who knows how up-to-date this list is or how competent the docs are. but it could be a start.

I can highly recommend Dr. Heike Gensmuller at Neumarkt 33. I went to her after the OB/GYN recommended by the US Embassy listing prescribed fetus-endangering medications not once but TWICE!! I ended up having an extremely difficult pregnancy and Dr. Gensmuller was a star. I credit her with saving both the life of my son and my own. I am not kidding.

Just an FYI...we went to a dr who was/ is listed as an English speaking pediatrician in Cologne on the Embassy website and he did not speak enough English to qualify in my booka as an " English speaking pediatrician" I would say he speaks tourist English.

Does anyone have any suggestions on who to see as a general doctor? Have you had good or bad experiences with any?

Are there any English speaking General Physicians ,Gyneacologists and Pediatricians near to Golzheim/Stockum area(or atleast near to these areas which can be reached using the public transportation).
