Hi

I was wondering if any of you kind people could help...

I and my wife are moving to Germany (Bayreuth) in the next few weeks, and she has just passed her provisional driving licence in the UK. She has also passed the CBT test for driving her 50cc scooter in the UK.

The question is, can she bring her scooter across and use it in Germany? If there are any tests she would need to take, does anyone know which ones they are?

Also, as another question, can a full UK driving licence holder drive a scooter in Germany?

Many thanks for any replies...

Ian

Thanks Smiffy - that link seems to apply to full UK licences rather than provisional... did I miss something in the post?

Sorry, sorry, sorry. Now clicked the link in the link (if you get what I mean) and read the text saying 'Licences with limited validity, e.g. learner's permits, are not accepted".

Thanks for the info, now to tell the wife!

Yes but will have to get new papers - the question will be if it's worth it

If you have a full car licence you can ride a 50cc in Germany without taking a separate test

See above.

Like I said above the question is is it worth it to bring it over? What is it? If it's a Vespa I can help you out just PM me.
