Astronaut in bizarre kidnap plot in Florida courtQUOTE (Reuters)
A U.S. astronaut accused of trying to kidnap a woman she considered a rival for another astronaut's affections made her first court appearance in Florida on Tuesday. Lisa Nowak, who drove across the country on her mission wearing adult diapers so she would not have to stop to urinate, was arrested on Monday on charges including battery and attempted kidnapping, according to police in Orlando, Florida.

Detailed account...
NASA astronaut attempted to kidnap romantic rival in love triangle with fellow astronautQUOTE
Last summer, astronaut Lisa Nowak was soaring 220 miles above Earth, floating in the rarefied air of the international space station. The 43-year-old robotics specialist was in quite a different place Monday night: A dingy jail among suspected drug dealers and prostitutes, where she awaited a scheduled court appearance Tuesday.

An officer reported following Nowak and watching her throw away a bag containing the wig and BB gun. Police also found a steel mallet, a 4-inch folding knife, rubber tubing, $600 and garbage bags inside a bag Nowak was carrying when she was arrested, authorities said.
Sounds like it was gonna be a fun weekend?

Or a typical TT Tuesday.
Will you be selling that as a"Talk to a fellow astronaut about a guy" kit ?

I blame it on the lack of oxygen in the warehouse where they staged the "mission" she was supposed to have been on.

But, she
was on a mission. Only thing missing from her bag-o-tricks was a blowtorch and some lead pipes to get medieval on her rivals ass.

I'll bet she actually worked at the Nasa Post Office and wasn't an astronaut at all. "Bitch Went Postal" doesn't make for a good headline.

You mean
this?
Actually sending them into space is a good idea, it's using the NASA funds to bring them back that should be questioned.
Guess my psychopath instincts are off, but I can't imagine what she was planning to do with the 4' of rubber tubing?
A four inch folding knife and rubber tubing, diameter and length unspecified.
Some psychopath you'ld make.
NYT specified 4 feet of rubber tubing. Possible uses in murder plot still a mystery.

Depending on how flexible it is you could use it to tie someones hands and feet. I read about it in "The Boys Book of Kidnapping".
Or use it siphon some fuel out of your car and set the person alight...assuming your car doesn't have one of those little restrictor things which stops you inserting the tubing.
Also useful for beating people without leaving longterm marks, depending on the type of rubber tubing.
Or so Keydeck said the last time I met him.

in theory it could also be used to syphon the wee & poo mixture out of her nappies, ready for re-use.
In combination with the garbage bags and a flight suit this could be a good Fasching outfit.

Tisn't the getting around that's the problem, it's the stuff he carries with him.

Rubber tubing is good gear, I guess, for kidnappers.
You could bury someone and use the tubing as a breathing pipe to the surface (like was the plan with that kid in Frankfurt-Niederrad, erm, yeah Jakob von Metzler? That family lived down the street from me when I lived in FFM so I remembered that). Indeed, putting a rubber pipe down someone's throat could keep an airway open if they started to panic - an entirely reasonable reaction to being kidnapped, no doubt.
Or as a feeding pipe to a crate? Or waste pipe out?
Alternatively, you can whip people with rubber pipe, that could bloody sting though.
Yes, I watch too much TV. Especially CSI.

Fired? How can NASA fire such a brave women?
QUOTE
Nowak's dismissal did not reflect the space agency's belief in her guilt or innocence, NASA officials said. The agency said it lacked an administrative system to handle the allegations because Nowak is a naval officer on assignment to NASA, rather than a NASA civil servant.
If Nowak were a civil servant, NASA would have the choice of placing her on administrative leave, leave without pay or indefinite suspension until the charges are resolved, said NASA spokesman James Hartsfield in Houston. But because she is an officer, those options are not available.
Nowak, a Navy captain, instead will return to the military.

She's been framed by the American administration because she was about to come clean on UFOs and zero-point energy fields. Zero-point energy means no more money for Mr. Texa$ Oil in the White House or his friends the House of Saud.
She's no more guilty of those charges than I am.
NASA has fired Bill Oefelein now as well. Seems his behavior instigated the madness. He was playing them both. Chatting with Nowak on a cell phone he gave her while spending the weekend with Shipman. Perhaps his dick will shrivel up and fall off now.

haha.. this is quality.. even taking into account its you that has said this, this is still crazy.. you truly are a nut case. If she wanted to come out about UFO's, she has the perfect chance now that the world know's who she is. Fact is, she is just a nutter than tried to kidnap someone..
Where you come up with this shit, I'll never know..

Breaking news:
Charged Nasa woman 'had no nappy'.
QUOTE
A former US astronaut accused of trying to kidnap a love rival did not wear a nappy during her long drive to confront the other woman, her lawyer says.
The lawyer for ex-space shuttle crew member Lisa Nowak said widespread claims she had worn a nappy to avoid toilet stops were false and damaging. (...)
"It holds my client up to ridicule," Mr Lykkebak said.
"It jeopardises our ability to get a fair trial when the client is the butt of jokes."
(my emphasis, needless to say)

Didn't she already confess to wearing a diaper? I don't get it?
IIRC at the time she did. I suppose the lawyer is simply trying to make her look a bit less ridiculous - if so, he should choose his words more carefully!
