Here is your place to tell a fellow user that you can't PM them as their inbox is stuffed full.
So... KitKat64, make some room!

I would have thought Editor Bob could have come up with an automatic email when the in box is full?

But you wouldn't receive it if your mailbox was full.

think newbies may have a restriction on their inbox capacity...not sure tho.

That's true.
If a newbie sends too many PMs without ever posting to the forum, their inbox gets automatically disabled by the spam protection system.
To fix it, the newbie needs to post to the forum a few times, or cut down on mass PM'ing people.

Schotte, I tried to pm you, but it isn't working because your inbox is "full". Apparently you are super popular or too cheap to buy a supporter's subscription.

That's possibly because posting privileges were removed as she has a duplicate account.
IMHO having more than one identity is also not entirely kosher when this is supposed to be a community.

I wanted to send a PM to somebody but I couldn't because the forum crashed. Presumably due to Jenny L's unbridled rage which overloaded the server.

Having a second login isn't always for malicious purposes. Especially for those people who chose a name that can identify them, situations can occur that call for the person to choose a more anonymous login. You can argue that one should think ahead and choose an anonymous name but we don't all know how much time we're going to be spending on this site when we first sign up.
I did the same, I used to post under my real name until other people from my last company found out about the site. I do post things on here about my private life that while I'm not ashamed of I still don't need my coworkers or my boss to find out. If they do, then fine but I didn't necessarily want to spoon feed it to them.
Other people have had to change logins because of family members or ex-spouses finding them or stalking them on here.

as far as I'm aware you switched rather than had a double though (well, apart from the double/triple/quadruple user names you have that I don't know about

)

I think it's totally fine to change your ID if the original one is compromising your privacy. On the other hand I reckon it's not really on to post under two names simultaneously; I don't really know why anybody needs to do that, and it also then makes the privacy argument invalid.
But whatever, I am sure the mods will sort it out fairly so there's no need for us to keep speculating about it.

Some people might just want to keep certain topics private and not mind about other ones. I am not sure what Jenny L's reasons were, but since neither of her two accounts are trolling accounts, I am sure she did have a reason.
