Be sure its balsamic vinegar and add a bit 'o sugar. Let it rest for 10 mins or so in the fridge. Perfect with some mascarpone!

Hey lady! Not sure yet, Madame C and I still negociating. But in any case, it has been too long since I saw you and will be great to see you then.

Since it appears we're now up to nearly 20 people, I'm really thinking that I ought to go ahead and make reservations at Roosevelt. The place is pretty teeny and at this rate we're gonna need to reserve the entire bar.

So - I know it's only Monday, but if you are even entertaining the possibility that you might attend on Friday, please put your name down on the signup sheet today. I'll be calling the bar later this afternoon.

I was in Roosevelt last night and had a chat with the staff. Rather than trying to reserve seats for all 23 of us who are signed up, I have reserved a corner of the bar facing the door. Naturally, there are tables available, but they aren't reserved, so come early to have a chance of snagging one.

A few things to bear in mind:

• There is a limited selection of food available, but if you're looking for a full dinner you'll need to make other plans.
• No EC/credit cards are accepted.
• There's no Helles, just Pils. But this is a proper cocktail bar so what are you doing drinking beer anyway?
• The reservation is under the name Georgia.
• The bar is located immediately at the Lehel U-Bahn stop, take the exit towards Tattenbachstrasse.
• They serve Ron Zacapa Centenario rum - it's very good and you should try some.

So the vodka will flow freely and we will drink to the glorious brotherhood of the Lehel Communards ?

I'll be along for one or two, just to see Georgiagirl in a furcoat and hat.

Ohhhh might be a tough one for me now Got me Filserball to attend to in the evening so it either show up wearing a dirndl , have a quick one (as we all say) and trot off home to change. Decisions, decisions...

For some reason I thought this was last weekend. So of course, this Friday, I already have plans -- too many actually. I am afraid I will have to back-out, however, I do hope that we plan another Lehel night/evening out in the very near future.

So how was it last Friday ? Is it worth going tonight ?

Renia, you're very welcome - although credit goes to polka-dot-speedo for suggesting the meetup. I'm pleasantly surprised so many of you will be attending!

I won't be arriving as early as originally planned, but should still make it there no later than 8pm. And although I'll be harassing all of you at the bar anyway, please keep in mind that Friday evening is the Amnesty International benefit at the Glockenbachwerkstatt. So I'll be headed there later in the evening and would be glad to take a TT group with me.

Of course loads of people are turning up: the directive for voluntary community supporting cocktail drinking was not to be ignored.
