Seems like ages since we last had curry since nobody volunteered to organise one for this week.

I cannot do curry this week as I am off to London tomorrow.

Will see if nobody has suggested or booked somewhere by the time I get back on Friday morning I will do the honours

Edit: Orable I wouldn't mind having some hot curry this Thursday or Friday night.

Haven't tried either, but it's always good to know what's out there.

I'm back to Edinburgh for the weekend so would have to be Thursday night for me this week, sorry to be so demanding

Edit: if there's going to be more than just the two of us, I can get a work colleague to book a table if someone can do a sign up sheet!!

LB, with such acute powers of deduction you should really be working for the C.I.D or whatever the German equivalent is. I may manage to make it along to this one. Will have a better idea next week.

the husband and myself love this idea but won't be able to make it on this date (celebrating a relative's birthday) ... but we'll keep checking in as there's something exciting about meeting up with others and extending friendships. looking forward to it

I will test drive Namaste India this weekend for all you can eat brunch. If me and my friend are still alive and well after that experience, I'll give you guys my feedback.

sunday all-u-can-eat curry lunch.. mmmm, reminds me of home. there are two quality restaurants near us in Cookham that offer all u can eat for GBP 8.95, simply awesome!

what is the deal at Namaste with the brunch etc?

My friend can never meet me for lunch during the week so I suggested we go for brunch on Saturday and indulge hot curry. He is one of those hot curry lovers who loves to eat hot and spicy food preferably 5-6 star on the hotness and spicy scale.

I had brunch at Namaste India over the weekend and these were offered at the buffet : papadams, appetizers, salad, three different veggie curry dishes, rice and butter chicken. The food was good and the service was friendly. I see that 18 people signed up so far, the restaurant is as big Banjara so I hope someone called them and told them that it's going to be 18 of us having dinner that night?

I did ring them and book for 20 and also asked if they had capacity for this. They said yes. But now I am concerned

Well I seem to have come down with something have a really sore throat and am just really drained. So since I am supposed to be off skiing tomorrow it is probably best for me to stay home and get an early night. Also I wouldn't want to give any of you my germs.

Appreciate it's a busy weekend, but hopefully you'll all be ready for some midweek curry. Suggestion is to give Gaylord (Baseler Str. 54) a try. Would be the usual 8PM kick off

not sure yet if I will be able to make this but will try my best! It is the best (and hottest ) curry house in Frankfurt after all!

hm I just realised that I will problably miss most of the curry nights until the beginning of May since my class at Goethe ends at 2045, perhaps I could come a bit late to this one ( like an hour late...) since it is the vicinity of the Goethe inst. hm...

Looking forward to seeing everybody one more time before I leave Germany and move onto my next assignment. See you all tomorrow night.

Banjara's owner just called me and told me that Banjara will be closed tonight cause the cook has resigned today. Oh well.

Any chance of a late contingent venue?

Sorry that it's quite short notice, but everyone will be welcome at the next Frankfurt curry night on 22nd March.

It's on a Thursday this time to try and cater for those otherwise engaged on Wednesday evenings.
