It has been a while since the last Frankfurt curry night!

So due to so many requests I booked the Banjara restaurant in Sachsenhausen again.

After xmas I wouldn't mind coming to one of these curry nights finaly meet you guys, I have German class on Wednesdays until xmas so can't make it till after.

Can anyone tell me what it's like for parking round there? Can't be arsed with the S Bahn on a school night.

well my old flat was 100m from Monsun and the parking seemed to generally be a bit of a nightmare..
there's a Parkhaus near there though, you might find somewhere to park for free but may take you like 15min of driving round etc.

Parking is not easy but not impossible!

The problem is that a lot of it is residents parking so you might get a ticket. But I tend not to worry about those things. I assume LB is talking about the parkhaus bei Waldstraße?

it's pretty much all residents parking. yeah, I think that is the parkhaus. May be poss to park on the other side of Walther-von-Cronberg Platz though by the river, there's lots of new developments along the river.

I think you would be ok to drive to be honest either way

I didn't see the Lamm Ginger! that looks tasty, think I will go for that instead

Hmmmmm why am I not surprised???

Well its a bit of a trip from Heidelberg for a curry I suppose, but this has not stopped me doing a school-nite trip up to Frankfurt before, so that excuse doesn't really work anymore!

Nah the real reason is Mrs. Billy is coming on Sunday and I need some time to clean the flat and sort stuff out, and with all this socialising, I've been neglecting my domestic duties!

Did you have a good time ski-ing by the way? I bought a snowboard over the weekend ... I still can't believe that I did it, but there's no going back now!

ok i'm still thinking Lamm Ginger but as I had an unplanned work lunch (including a massive free Kaiserschmarrn dessert) I am still feeling rather full so I'm considering the Lamb Tikka option, i.e. something with not so much rich sauce..

but the Lamm Ginger does sound damn nice

So what did we think of the Monsun?

I really liked the restaurant itself but not so keen on the food at all. It was nothing compared to India Palace or Banjara

Does anyone have a suggestion for next curry night?

I liked the restaurant itself and the atmosphere but if i'm brutally honest I wasn't too keen on my food.
in fact that was probs one of the poorest curries I've had in Deutschland.

For next time I would like to suggest the Indigo near Hauptbahnhof, it's been recommended by a few indian colleagues I know here in FFM

I wasnt even that impressed by the restaurant itself - its just way too big. Indigo it is...

Nice restaurant but food was pretty poor. No peppers or chillis in my jalfrezi!

Restaurant was ok but my curry didn't even get close to a real jalfrezi. The Banjara definately rated highly in my books.

Agreed, granted I haven't been to any other Indian places in Germany yet so I can't compare it to anything else here, but the food was a little lacking for the price. It would be great to try some other places in town with you all. It was good to meet everyone last night.
