I am new here and need some advice. May be some of you can help. I am here since February 2006 as an aupair, first I obtained visa from my country for 3 months, here I extended my visa only in may, but I extended my visa not from the day I arrived here, but from the day I went to auslanderbehorde, so I have visa as an aupair for 1,5 year. But the problem is that that I was asked to leave Germany till 23 of February 2007. So now I am really confused and do not know what to do. I cannot understand then why they issued me a visa till May? Was that mistake?

Okay the other thing, my family wanted to help me out and change my aupair visa for a sprachvisum, but since they are both not Germans, and one of them are not registered here, they are not illegible to become my sponsor. So the question is how can my family ask for my stay here till the end of visa, and are there any other options that could help to change my visa for work or for some other type? For example work visa for this family as a nanny? If it’s possible? Can someone please help with some advice?

I'm sure there are some people who can help you, but i have no clue. For most aupairs the visa length is only 1yr, but i only know the rules for aupairs from US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand, sorry! After one year you'd have to get a different type of visa (language study or nanny. The rules for Nanny are different than aupair and the family has to pay taxes on it), but the rules could be different for aupairs from Russia, i don't know- sorry!
