The group has a yahoo account that is the most accurate. I would suggest that you sign up for the yahoo account and then you will get the reminders and topics for writing. Now that I am a bit more settled, I will try to post the information into this site as well.

This might be a silly question, but how do I find the group? I'm definitely interested in coming.

I'm interested. How many people usually attend these things, and what does a typical meeting consist of? Would I need to bring/prepare anything?

Should be three regulars attending next week. There's no need to bring anything and new people are always welcome. I'll post details of how to find us when I've thought something up.

Hello everyone,

I'm really interested in coming along to the next catch up night. I couldn't wipe the smile from my face as I read the thread,... I really enjoyed reading the pieces that were posted there. I'm not a professional writer, ... more a hobby writer who uses writing to escape, for feeling and sometimes even to figure stuff out. Is there space for one more person? When is the next meeting? Is there a theme that I'll need to prepare something for?

Thanks for getting back to me. I can't seem to find the yahoo group though. I'm absolutely hopeless with technology - embarrasing really. I've found the Sodia Magazine webstie and on it there's a link to the Toytown Writers, but I can't find Susanne's posting. Am I looking in the right place? I'd like to contact Sussane to let her know that I'll be along and also whether or not to expect something from me. Do you know of another way of contacting her, or is the answer right under my nose on the Sofia site?

@melbel: You're welcome to join us. There's definitely lots of space in our group for new people since we only have about three regular members now.

Our meeting is on Thursday at 6:30pm in Cafe Blue. We'll be sitting close to the fish tank. I have dark hair, wear glasses and will probably have a glass of Weißbier before me, so I'm easy to recognise.

@dallasetc: it is still going on. New people are welcome, despite the impression one might get from the fact that it took me nearly a month to answer your question. Usually everyone brings along about 1000 words of what they wrote in the past month to read aloud.

Just saw this posting today. I moved here a short while ago - I'm a scientist and a writer, but normally don't write fiction in English. I tried to translate stuff, but it doesn't come out very well. Anyway, not sure if I can make it on Sept 11 (got a deadline next weekend for a story). When is the next meeting?

We'll be meeting again tomorrow Thursday 10/09/08 at 7 pm at the Blue Café again. The topic for the story is "Thirst". Sorry to post this so late. We're happy for everyone who comes regardless of whether he or she has written a story on the topic.

How come you guys don't bother changing the title to reflect the date of your meetup?

I haven't been on the forum long enough to change the title. Thanks to whoever changed it.

We decided to try somewhere else as Cafe Blue gets too loud in the evenings for reading.
