Thai dinner at Khanittha in Neuhausen

Due to unpopular demand, we are going back to the Thai restuarant Khanittha in Neuhausen on Thurs, 15th Feb.
(nasty rumour has it that there may be a group heading to the Muddy Boot afterwards...but we can see how the evening develops)

If you indicate here that you want to come along, I will happily book the tables again.

Ooh, for a change I am actually in Munich on this date. I've never been to this particular "Khanitthar", but the one on Kirchenstrasse in Haidhausen is my favorite Munich restaurant.

I am going to make a tentative reservation at the restaurant today, so any further interest let me know now..
I'm sure we can still extend the reservation if enough extras sign up next week, but I want to get at least this lot covered, as it's not a huge restaurant and it is popular - because it's so good

Errm... pardon my ignorance/potential faux-pas, but I was wondering if english-speaking-German-significant-others are welcome.

@fuzzbrain - anyone of any nationality is welcome as long as they are aware that most of the conversation will be in English. Last time I brought a German friend along - no problem!

However, just bringing them isn't ok - this is a restaurant, not a stand-up party. I need to know by tomorrow how many people to reserve seats for.

No no! I was just asking because I'm unfamiliar with protocol. I guess I should have asked in a general forum, not this particular string. Sorry!!

oh, ok..fine...so I'm still not quite sure what you really want to know, but:
my +2 this week are both not registered TT people...no problem with that. One of them is a native speaker the other one is Swedish. Certainly you can register guests. For many events, where there is no seating (like meeting in a pub), you don't need to even say you're bringing people.

Real partners (in case that's what you meant) are also tolerated ...there are some couples on TT..sometimes both are registered, sometimes only one.

I guess what may be a problem in general is if people go along to an event really looking for an English lesson..not understanding everything is fine, but if people get everything explained to them (sometimes over and over again) that isn't necessarily relaxing or fun for native speakers (especially those who work as teachers and are doing something on TT for a night off).

And all I care abut for this week is not having far more or far fewer people than I told the restaurant about, as it's not huge and I wouldn't want people to be standing about with nowhere to sit (and often it's not the extras, because they got there earlier; it's someone who registered but arrived late) or to have th restaurant saving a lot of space that doesn't get used because of no-shows..

Anyway, there doesn't seem to be a great last-minute rush so I think we're fine..I'll reconfirm the place tomorrow.

Hi Sari, well, assuming that the tables will be arranged not to fit 23, but 24, I can say that's ok.

Now however reservations are closed!!!

Anyone else who wants to go at the last minute, please call the restaurant yourselves (The restaurant with new number is on the thread) and book an extra table - we will of course talk to you... but this is a pretty small place, there's no guarantee that they will have any more room and I don't want those who have reserved in time to go without.
