Just asking, because it kinda sux roller-blading on the dirt roads of English Garden (tried it sad.gif )
When would you go?
Hutcho
Ski's are going to be more suitable for the Englisher garden from tomorrow onwards..
Sari
Ja, Didn't realise it was going to snow...I had almost forgotten it is the middle of winter... I didn't have a route planned, just looking for some company, trying to meet people.

I would like to rollerblade - though I think the English Garden is far too rocky for blades! Where would be better in Munich?

The northern section of the EG has some good asphalt paths and far less people strolling too.
Sari
Cool, Well it looks as though rollerblading is out until the snow is gone, but if there is enough interest then maybe we can make it an event. wink.gif

Is there anything else active that is happening in Munich?
Slayer
You could try ice skating at Olympic Park. A bit crowded on weekends but still is fun.
Sari
Hey, I can skate now! The shippers delivered all my boxes yesterday ( 4 weeks late dry.gif ) so now I just have to find the magic box that has my hockey skates in it.
Anyone else loving this snow??? biggrin.gif

Hi,

Anyone know how gritty the paths are in the English Garden or Olympiapark at the moment? This sunny weather is making me want to dig out the skates, but not if I end up on my ass cos of the stupid stones!

English Garden is still quite gritty. I ride right through there twice a day and -- not ready for bladers yet.
thetagirl05
Well when the pathes are not so gritty, and if anyone wants to get together to rollarblade, I'll be up for it!
Susan
does anybody know of any indoor rollerblading rings ?
Sari
If you ever find one, Let me know!!!
pipa
oh! I'd be up for blading!! but I don't have any rollerblades anymore since they were stolen out of my car in San Francisco prior to departing for Germany. Pooh. Anyone got any recommendations where to buy some for student budgets?
