I've heard we are going to get some real cold weather accompanied with snow. No winter is complete without snow. smile.gif

Smiffy
WOOT!!!

So when is this supposed to be happening?
Purple Muffin
I heard this on the radio this morning too!

All I can say is snow = ski and woooooooo hooooooooo for ski!
Smiffy
Ok so this week I will go purchase a sledge for the "boys" hehehehe

Don't like the cold but love the snow, I am the kind of person that likes to make a snowman then would like the snow to go away.

I think a ski trip could now be on the cards in a couple of weeks time...watch this space dry.gif

Smiffy have you been up on the Feldberg in Taunus when it snows? Many families bring their little kids there and the kids get to sledge down the small slopes.
I am definitely going to make at least one snowman myself. smile.gif

I was up there last year on christmas day... lots of snow and tons of fun! The perfect place to bring your kids and then go for coffee and cake afterwards.
Smiffy
@lifeisabuffet, No I haven't been here while it has snowed yet so can't wait and my boys have only ever seen snow once and they can't wait either, so if it does snow maybe you could post how to get to the hill for me.

cheers

hmmm, not convinced it will snow here as it is is forecast to be dry the next 2-3 days and from Thurs it is supposed to be getting slightly warmer again - up to 6-7 degrees. Maybe it will get colder sometime middle of next week again...

Was in Munich till yesterday evening and must have just missed the snow as they have had about 5cm now I think?
swefra
It is however freezing outside..walked from the "Messe" area to Westend in "interview" clothes, could barely move my fingers in the end. I have done my outdoors activities for today that's for sure..

Where did you hear that? According to Wetter.de is is not going to go above 2° before the weekend.

I am not too convinced it is going to snow though sad.gif
Smiffy
mad.gif it's not fair why do Munich have all the fun, I wanted to go sledging

*stomps around throwing a wobbly*

@Smiffy, you need to get on the bus from the Hohemark station which will take you up to the Kleiner Feldberg. To get to Hohemark you need to take the U3-Bahn. I am not sure of the hours for the U-Bahn and the bus, you can check that under RMV
There is no snow on Kleiner Feldberg right now.

Snow strands thousands

QUOTE
THOUSANDS of travellers faced delays on the way to work today after a dusting of snow disrupted rail services in the south of England.

A band of snow moved south overnight leaving a covering of up to two centimetres in some areas.

Southeastern, which operates rail services into London from Kent and Sussex, said that a failed train in the Bickley area was having a knock-on effect on services into Victoria and Blackfriars from south east London.

(*) Well, ok, once a winter, I guess. This must be it then.

Hmmm, if its still like that on Friday I'm definately tempted to jump in the car and go boarding! biggrin.gif

edit: seems the fun is coming to an end already. Nice while it lasted.
