Toytown team on Xbox Live

Hey Xbox360'ers!

I think we should get a Toytown team on Xbox Live going. Maybe we could get a Call of Duty 3 team up and running and teach these krauts how to win a war!

Only used so far for Gears of War, but I have other games on the 360. It's kinda fun but I am rubbish. PM if you want my handy number to text when playing online etc.

Interesting to see when a team starts losing - the players pretty much bail out of the game!!

I dont have CoD3, I've only really got Gears of War or Rainbow Six: Vegas if you want to run around shooting a few folks. Sports wise I've got Tiger Woods 07.

Xbox live is áce - I'm donriina.
Currently, I am only really interested in zooming about playing Burnout, and swearing alot into the mike as I crash. 4 lucky people who raced with me were treated to about 20 minutes of top quality streaming donriina comedy the other night. Captive audience, love it.

Just a question: Did you guys sign up with the Locale of UK or Germany? I first signed up with UK but then realised I can't use my German credit card to buy points. So I made a second gamertag for Germany and bought the points with that one and purchased a game. Then swapped back to the UK one to play the game. But is there any point doing that? I might as well stick with the German one really, right?

Why have two accounts you say? Well the reason is that as great as XBox Live is, it also has its major minus points. I bought Gears of War from the UK, in fact I buy all my games from the UK as I refuse to play anything in Kraut. Gears of War is banned here, because it was deemed too bloody! There were several new maps and upgraded available via XBL, but because its banned here, it wont appear on the german marketplace.

I also have Marvel Ultimate Alliance and again, there was a new expansion pack coming out, but on the day of the release it didnt appear on the Deutsch XBL. It turns out that Germany was not on the list of 'European' countries that were getting the pack, I could buggar off to Israel or Turkey(EU countries my ass) and download it, but in krautland no.

Another game I have is oblivion, great game, lots of fun. I downloaded a couple of add ons, which worked perfectly well. I then downloaded another expansion to the game, which only played in german!!! So I had a game that was half in English and half bloody Kraut! I uninstalled the abomination straight away. It just doesnt make sense to have half the downloads working in English and then the other half only in german.

So three reasons why its handy to have a UK account. The US XBL is miles better, they have episodes of Family Guy available for download and a while back had the first Austin Powers movie available for free.

I topped up my UK account using a €50 voucher from the shops here - so that is a viable option. But I havent played a single thing for about 3 months I think!! Problem was I moved the XBOX to an old telly in the cellar, and whilst it works, its crap compared to a big fuck off LCD panel. So now saving up for a 42" LCD for the cellar - then I might get inspired again. Also summer seems to be more for outdoor stuff but when the shite weather returns the XBOX might be more fun.

I was looking to buy an Xbox, then found PS3 is far superior kit (and runs Linux!) without MS pay and pay again lock-in and crap reliability. And then I tried Urban Terror .. it's free and runs on the PC and free to play on line ..Great!

XBL is giving me guff recently with the matchmaking, quiters, games hosted in the US/lag and whatnot. (And all my Japanese and Aussie mates seem to play at the exact times I am at work, or they are playing MGS4 or something)

It`d be nice to get insulted by people from the forum I go to when I need hints with the plumbing and to whine about insane locals.

Multiplayerwise I only have Halo 3, GTA4, Bomberman Live, Doom, Assault heroes and that free underwater game everyone got for some reason. Maybe when those stupid rock bands stop visiting nearby countries I can save up and buy some more. (That civ4 demo is such a tease, makes me want to punch those advisors in the head when the turn limit runs out. ANGRYTIME!!!)
