Recommended sets that give a good picture

OK techies, here's a cry for help.

Which HD TVs - in the 37"+ category - can you recommend which will give me a good SD picture (from Sky Digibox and a standard digital sat receiver) in the sub €2000 range? It doesn't matter if it is Plasma, LCD or Rear-Pro.

I'm totally fed-up trying to find SOMETHING which will give a good SD as well as HD pic.

Cheers.

Forget it. SD always has looked crap on a HD screen. And always will do. It's just not technically possible even with interpolation - which blurs the picture to buggery.

Your only option is to play an SD at a smaller size on your screen retaining the original pixel aspect and not blow up to full screen.

OK, let me ask 2 slightly different questions.

1. Who has a >32" LCD or Plasma to watch TV via their Sky Digibox and which make and model is it?
2. What score out of 5 would you give it for Pic Quality (1 being worst, 5 being best)?

Thanks

I bought a 32" shitter on ebay - brand called DAYTEK which is a DAEWOO. Brand new with 2 year warranty. It does not have HDMI input, so you need to use the RGB option. Was only €535. You can buy them all day long on ebay at that price.

But bugger me - the picture is bloody excellent - like really good. No complaints at all. I only originally purchase it for playing games but is our main TV now. So you don't need to splash big cash. Even the sound is pretty good.

Got a Sony 32" S-line - picture is superb, sound excellent as well. Has only one HDMI input, whereas the V-lines have two - however, that's not a big hassle at the moment as only the DVD player is using the HDMI.

Anyway - I'm very pleased with it. Otherwise I really liked the Samsungs.
