Cheers

Chris
cabbagefairy
Yea we are...well the group of us that are mates already, not sure about the people I don't know. I'm guessing the meetup with involve alcohol of some discription too.
Jenny L
You don't need alcohol to have fun, kids. ph34r.gif
Bavaroo

When doesn't it? wink.gif
butler_helen
When you are driving or respect your liver. Alternatively when Tequila is the drink on offer wink.gif
cabbagefairy
seeing as none of us drive or care about squidgey organs, it seems higher or lower speed rounds and beer pong shall live on!
Tiggi
Bloody hell, too young for over-thirties, too old for this... we'll have to have a separate event for 25-29 year-olds! tongue.gif
Tom17
This thread is very age-ist. What about 17 year olds?
Kay

What about 17 year olds?

Only with parents' approval - in writing. ph34r.gif
cabbagefairy
17 year olds can't drink...well legally. And find me a 17 year old on here anyway! hell find me another 18 year old and ill be happy smile.gif
Jenny L
Au contraire. A 17 year old is allowed to drink in Germany. Just not those ridiculously shitty alco-pops or hard liquor. (nobody should be allowed to drink alco-pops, if you ask my opinion).
cabbagefairy
But can't stay out all night at clubs and things...and if thats the case why was I asked if I was 18 when buying a mass at hofbrau the other night?
Kay
Maybe you look about 12? unsure.gif
cabbagefairy
well one day that will be a good thing!

haha thanks for the PM cantthinkofawitty name but no I am not posting that pic of when I was actually 12!

As soon as you turn 16, you can buy and order beer in Germany and you can also stay out as long as you want to, if you are accompanied by an adult, who carries a written statement by your parents, that he's taking responsibility for you... sure you already wanna go out with 18-24... ? laugh.gif

Okey here's an idea that doesn't (altho no reason it couldn't) involve drinking. How about we bus or train it up to the mountains where theres actually snow and go sledging and stuff. Can prob get some plastic sledge things pretty cheap or those big orange survival bags are awesome for hurtling down a mountain in biggrin.gif
koubiak
Uh Uh I am fitting the profile smile.gif

So drinks, drugs and party ?
Cantthinkofawitt... I would say yes but there ain't no snow. There is plenty of way to meet people in Munich. If something gets organized I will try to come.

You sound like you know your way around Munich a little bit- why don't you organize a night out? It's hard to get things rolling when everyone sits around waiting for the entire group to come up with a plan.
Batman509
Ok, then lets say this weekend. We'll do something Friday later afternoon, early evening. How does that sound? Bars should be emptyish, we can chat and drink and then if everyone is up to it, we go out after. If thats too soon, we can plan something for next saturday afternoon.
cabbagefairy
I'm in but won't be finished work till 8 on friday
Darkknight
The TT Fridays and Beergarden crowd have their thing on Fri. if your looking for a place to go/meet other TT'ers..
perdido
Just name a date, place and do it. You will have two kind of results low turnout or high turnout. I personally favor low turn out with a gradual build up over the months rather a huge turnout and everyone losing favor with it in three to four weeks. Good time to start is now with spring basically at your door step already.
cabbagefairy
Well there already is a group of us that have been mates for a few monthes now so it's really just finding a time that suits the people who we don't know. No point organising something to meet new people if its only the same ol people that turn up.

And I am soooo keen on the snow idea! (when it snows...)

not even up in the mountains?
ski
There was loads of snow in the mountains the last couple of weekends when I was skiing, but you just have to go higher than you normally would for this time of year.

But you probably wouldn't want to trek all the way to a higher ski resort just to go sledging, so I guess you should wait a few weeks to find somewhere nearer to here when hopefully it finally snows in and around Munich.

Yes I do, but does mean I want to get to organize something.

So somebody said Friday sounds like a good idea to me.

So a big bar or a pub where we could all talk, and crab something to eat. Happy hour would be great too. I don't have idea at the moment. I will talk to some friends and see what would be could.

Maybe there is some places you like that I don't know.

edit about the ski I was in austria 10 days ago there was snow, but 2-3 hours drive for sledges does not make sense lets wait to have plenty of snow everywhere.
Matt9882
Wow only set this up yesterday and people already seem proper keen. The night out will probably be on a Thursday night so I can get through my boss on Friday still feeling the alcohol. Would be nice if we got a good selection of girls and guys to make things a bit more equal. Can everyone interested make a Thursday night? I have no probs with people who are 17 or 25 coming just was looking to find a younger scene in Munich that’s all.
mere
if you need more girls just get ahold of one of the aupairs and she can prob bring some of her friends along.
cabbagefairy
ahhh bloody weeknights!
cantthinkofawittyname
friday would be better, at least then I wouldnt have to spend 8hrs at work feeling like I've been runover several times
koubiak
I could do a week night but not everytime, I have to think staigth at work.

Maybe we should some kind of poll ?
Matt9882
Polls are just going to seriously delay things and provoke argumentation over a possible location. I say we just choose a location and people just turn up. Thinking Americanos on a thursday night or a great place called the Sports Bar in Moosach!
koubiak
I would suggest something closer to the center of the city, ... I will talk to some people tonight.

Yep. That is definitely a good suggestion.
cabbagefairy
Anyone know of a good bar for friday in the city center then?
koubiak
I mean it depends if you want space, no space, standing / seating, dancing or not, and the music.

I would like standing mainly better to meet people, dancing could be a thing later, and music but not to loud.

There is schall & rauch but I might be packed...

Peaches is always a good starting place. BUCKET COCKTAILS! laugh.gif
Jenny L
Ok, here's a little insider tip. I might be too old to party with you all, but I teach English to younguns your age. Apparently THE place to go for your age group on a Friday night is Los Banditos. It's a young crowd, good drinks, etc., etc. Just a suggestion. I've been interested in going there but apparently I'm too old. rolleyes.gif

Edit: Friday special: half price pitchers all night.
perdido
How would you know? Teacher /student conferences? wink.gif
Jenny L
rolleyes.gif yeah. No, I attempt to pry into their social lives with the innocent "So what did you do at the weekend?" question at the start of class. wink.gif
cabbagefairy
ooo I vote for the place with the half price pitchers!

Cantthinkofawittyname - wahoooo pitchers!
