UK visa for an Indian married to a British citizen

Hello...TTers...
I would appreciate if someone would guide me...

I am an indian married to a british citizen since almost 2 years. Both of us have the unlimited Aufenthaltserlaubnis for Germany. Now my husband is planning to move back to UK.
I need a visa to live and work there, as I still have my Indian passport. How do we go about it? Any experiences to relate?? How long does it take?? Will I have to stay back here and wait...for things to be processed...any information will be appreciated...

EDIT: Or of course the British Consulate in Munich - I'd be loathe to accept advice on a complex field from anyone other than an official of the British Government or an immigration lawyer - the law here is in a permanent state of flux...
