Does being absolutely sacked off class as being unhappy? If so:
1) I'm working late when I should be home enjoying a nice lamb steak with my girlfriend.
2) I'm owed 2 months money and when my bills come out tomorrow I'm going to be busting my overdraft limit.
Where's that Voodoo doll?

Crashed at motorbike wheelie school yesterday afternoon. Did not have adequate knee protection and my knee is mashed. Currently braced and on anti-thrombosis injections, pain killers and anti-inflammatories. Tomorrow is the MRI scan and then I expect an operation hopefully within the week. Patella was knocked out and ligaments are toast. They drained off couple of syringes of blood this morning, which regretfully indicates serious internal injury (fluid would have been better).
Pretty pissed off and really pissed off with myself. Extra knee pads were at home, and I was taking it sensible all day - but got it wrong at the wrong time.
Oh well. Shit happens. 3rd time I have had MRI scan on this knee as it is my achilles heel so smacking it onto tarmac was a bad move.
Would like to turn back the clock, but life ain't like that so I just need to deal with it.

Because my wife found out today that she has a skin cancer. She had something removed a couple of weeks ago which looked suspicious and today it was confirmed to be a cancer. The doc is being very positive about it and saying they are as confident as they can be that everything was removed and there is nothing to worry about but she has to go back on Wednesday for tests on her lymph nodes just to be really sure.
Fingers and toes crossed !!!

FYI, skin cancer lesions are some of the most treatable there is. Good luck to your wife. Regardless of the good odds (better than 75% with malignant and a hell of a lot more with non-malignant), it can be nerve racking to go through. Remember, the fear comes for the not knowing more than the knowing. Get informed in order to remove some of the fear factor.

So I just bought a car and finally picked it up last Tuesday. It's super cute and I love it.
But...
On my way home from TT Tuesday yesterday, while I sitting at a stop light, a girl decided to back her station wagon into my car and now the driver's side door is completely dented and scratched up!
Needless to say, I am not super happy.

Because today is my birthday --not so very bad in itself, but my back hurts (recovering from what was probably a slipped disc) so I had to cancel my birthday party, and my husband had to go on a business trip this week!
*grumble, mutter*
I'm also feeling this birthday much more than I expected. I thought next year would be the painful one.
Edit: At least it's not a national holiday here, so things are actually open.

Nope, on the way home. At like 12:15 am. She was a tard, I'm not going to lie. I don't know how she didn't see my car. Oh, and the car she was driving isn't her's anyways. So I it could be worse. Instead of being the person who's car got hit, I could be the person who lent her their car only to find out she caused an accident with it.

Thanks Sarabyrd and Oma Salzoek who sent me a PM. I thought it was a bit insensitive too how my doctor in Chicago broke the news. She said to me why haven't you had this done already and I said because I want to keep all my body parts as long a I can
(read: I'm a chicken and don't like to be at the hands of a gloried auto mechanic) and she said wrong it takes 15 minutes to get it out so why keep it if it's causing you troubles. Troubles that I have lived with this long and probably will continue to suffer with instead of succumbing to this operation, but I have to do more research and talk to more medical professionals. So far this is what I have found out, in the states, despite significant advances in improved diagnostics and treatment modalities for women with problems with their uterus, the medical establishment continues to perform just as many hysterectomies today as they did 25 years ago. So I will get several more opinions and then weigh all my options.

Jul 6 2007, 7:02 pm
Oh my gosh LR, that is so insensitive! I cannot believe she doesn't understand how important such a decision is. It's hardly the same thing as getting your appendix out! I hope you will be able to find another doctor who will treat you better and respect your feelings.
A friend of mine was informed in a similar way by a doctor in New Zealand that she had leukemia. She had a routine checkup to get her visa extended, and the doctor told her, "you do know you have leukemia, right?"
I cannot believe how insensitive some doctors are, why do they work in that field if they do not have any people skills?!
That is the same way I was told I had Hep A... the doc just said you cannot get your tonsils out on monday as you have Hepatitis A... I was shocked, my world spung around. I started crying and the doc said- hey don't overreact... don't overreact? I am a healthcare professional, that could have ment the end of my career FFS! Turned out to be a bad reaction to the Anti Malaria Med and I have healed, but still, was a super shock to me. I don't see that doc anymore. Actually, we used to use him lots, but after that my bosses even started using another doc to refer patients to.

Oh my gosh LR, that is so insensitive!
Yep, indeed it was highly insensitive, especially since I don't have any children. I would have more respect for her as a doctor and as a human if only she had been willing to discuss other options. Not to defend her, she has a very busy practice as her waiting room that day was filled to capacity and it was standing room only, so she didn't have much time for me. I would have even taken another appointment to come back and talk with her about my options, but after her apparent insensitivity I thought I would get another opinion somewhere else. The good thing is instead of letting this unhumanistic and unsympathetic doctor who's obviously, in my opinion, seems to be practicing assembly line medicine dictate what I should do, I will do my own thorough research and gets a second, maybe even a third opinion, so I can make the best informed decision that I can. Also I think her recommendation is somehow indicative of our quick-fix, microwave mentality society.
