After thinking that going out for a couple of drinks would make me feel better after dying all week, i retired to home to mess around on TT.
Job done, i was about to log off and was hit by a sudden sneeze.
Fuckin ridiculous! How on Earth can one sneeze cover your top, jeans and arms in snot in one go?

I wish it would either just give up and die or get worse so I can take a week off work getting better.
Indecisive illness, pain in the, err, chest (in this case).

I was going to put this in the "Why are you happy today?" thread to show what a thick skin I am getting, but since it happened I have kept thinking about it and it is a crap start to a day.
I know you all are tired of hearing about these sorts of things, but, believe you me, I am even more sick and tired of experiencing them. Here´s what happened:
6:50 a.m. I take Tobi out for his morning walk. He can´t wait to walk all the way around the fenced off "Stadtwald" (five trees, fenced off due to all the construction), so he squats in the grass at the side of the path and has a good long pee.
While he is peeing, I start hearing this weird, slow, rhythmic "Tsch...tsch...tsch..." I look around, don´t see anything, and assume the pheasant that lives in the "Wald" is making new sounds...maybe some kind of false-Springtime mating call.
Anyway, Tobi finishes and we start to walk to the park. This white-haired man up on a balcony gets my attention. He points authoritatively to where Tobi peed and says "Hey, du, Scheisse wegräumen".
I say, "Da gibt´s nichts weg zu räumen, er hat nur gepinkelt".
White haired man "Scheisse weg räumen"
Me, "Arschloch".
Ah, it´s always nice to meet one of my new neighbors.
(English translation: "Hey you, pick up the shit" -- "There is nothing to pick up, he only peed" -- "Pick up the shit" -- "Asshole")

Am attending a funeral today - of an ex-colleague from my early years in Hamburg area. A Professor of Physics - she died the previous weekend.
Am collecting a friend & ex-colleague from Max Planck Inst at Hamburg airport & we (& I guess a number of "old" friends) will attend.

I am unhappy dealing with the Arge. My husband (German citizen) and I are trying to move to Buchholz. We have to deal with the Arge because he no longer has a job. We are suppose to move next Monday, and they do not have our papers ready at the Arge. Every time he tries to call them, he gets some idiot on the phone who can tell him NOTHING. They give your message to someone else and say that they have 48 hours to call. They are open such short hours, and within those hours, you can't come in to ask any questions. Only at a 2 hour time frame. They try to block us at every move. GOD WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE???!!!
They are a brick wall, and there seems no getting through to them. They give wrong information, they're lazy and don't want to work, they try to block you from getting any help. (Hell, aren't they suppose to be a social SERVICE organization?) Christ!!
If anyone out there, could please give me some advice of any Social Action organization here in Germany who can act as an advocate or "go between' between a citizen in Germany and the Arge, I would really appreciate it. Thank you for reading. Take care everyone.

The car had been on our drive overnight and they started digging at 8am on the shared part of the drive, about three foot away from the back of our car. (Our drive is at a right angle to the shared bit.)

Because My best friend in cologne is being jerked around by his German landlady who he met here on Toytown.. I hope she realizes that where as he can't understand and read fully the contract she gave him. He is not without people who care enough about him to consulte a lawyer on it and what she is doing is not only morally wrong!! But legally questionable.
Not only that it makes me angry that someone would take SO advantage of someone, who came here to an English speaking forum to ask for help in finding a place to stay and she swept down on him like a vulture and took advantage of the fact that he did not speak the language or know the german Laws.
That makes me pretty mad!

Because my man is a jerk.
We made dinner plans Saturday to celebrate my birthday and he sat around in his pyjamas until it was too late. Everyone was gone or called to say they were leaving.
He played soccer all day Sunday, then came home to pack for a business trip then had the nerve to ask me to write an essay for his homework!

Then when I said no, he told me that I would be sorry for that!
Then he hid my present (which I didn't want to open until today...being my b-day and all...) in the basement. Then left on his trip without saying goodbye.

And a partner who has no job at the end of the month(We cannot live on my peanuts and whose fault we are in Bremen in the 1st place) His solution to this is lets move to Mallorca and work on a boat. You (i.e. Me) can do the cleaning and serving and he could be the caretaker...I do not think so!! As I said, there are a lot of people with painful experience in this area. I got a lot of great advice and support from people.
Put the kids at the centre of it and try and do whats best for them.
Don't be afraid to talk and ask advice, it's not the time of clearest thinking and emotions will run high.
There are no shortage of threads on TT that could well be useful for you to read first.
