Because my mom's flight got delayed, she missed her connection to Munich and now she won't get here until tomorrow!!! Fucking United!!! I am in a very bad mood.

Because this year I have inevitably fallen ill over the holidays... like ever other f-ing year for the past 5 years. While I usually end up with something mild like food poisoning or a good old dose of stomach flu, this year my body has decided to surprise me with a potentially dangerous mix of whooping cough and dysentery.

tomorrow starts the christmas shopping

Mom is here but her bags still aren't. And no one can give me information on them!! Lufthansa doesn't answer the phone and United doesn't have any info. Wankers.

I am unhappy because I am so pissed off and am not enjoying my time with my mom.

I am unhappy because my fairly new washer and dryer have shorted out (no idea about electrical stuff, but there was a weird noise, there was no electricity in any of the bathroom sockets, and after flipping that switchy thing the electricity is back on, but neither machine has power.) Will need to get them repaired or replaced, and in the meantime have piles of laundry I need to do.

Because, like a double-dipped loodrimaun dipstick, I accidentally got some chilli oil I've had brewin' for 6 months into my right eye.
It does not feel very sexy.

New Year in Edinburgh used to be fantastic. It was pub a lot earlier than 5.30 though.

Looks like I'll be seeing in the new year from under my duvet in a phenylephrine-induced stupor. I'm expecting great things of 2008.

I am with you Tiggi!!! I went out for diner with my family and could hardly eat. I am also ill and had to leave and I am now on my own at home with my dogs... I only hope that 2008 will be a better year than this one for me!!

I've been hunting and hunting and hunting over the past two years for a digital copy of a rare as rocking horse shit 1985 album that I lent to somebody (probably around 1986) and never got back (it is THAT good)... but I was wise enough to have taped a copy onto cassette from the vinyl for use in the car.

Today, and probably because it was so bloody cold, 22 years later my cassette player in the car ate my beloved album... and at the same time I have just discovered one on Amazon... for EIGHTY FUCKING EUROS.

What's a torrent and can anybody assist me to regain that what is lost?

What's the Album and have you tried Limewire? yes it's illegal but so is €80 for an album.

We just received an e-mail that a colleague died this week. It was sudden and unexpected. He left behind a wife and two children, aged 11 and 21 months. I just can't believe it. I don't know exactly how old he was, but he was in his 30s.

What a terrible thing for his family. We're all in shock.

I am sorry to hear that, Rick. One of my co-workers had a narrow escape last week involving a reckless driver, I shudder to imagine what could have happened.

I am unhappy because Scogs lost a filling last night and had to spend 30 excruciating minutes in the dentist chair this morning. And because one of our lawyers is splitting up and moving back to the US, she will be sorely missed.

Because I'm back at work, but mainly because my gold crown came loose yesterday so I've got to find a dentist to glue it back in. I don't do dentists!
