that's what got me into this mess in the first place. I assume I can just go to bed like a normal person and leave the vegetables out of it?

R.I.C.E. (no, it's not a suggestion on what to cook with your wok vegetables):
QUOTE
Early Injury Treatment: R.I.C.E (Rest, Ice, Compression, and Elevation)
Rest: Reduce or stop using the injured area for 48 hours. If you have a leg injury, you may need to stay off of it completely.
Ice: Put an ice pack on the injured area for 20 minutes at a time, 4 to 8 times per day. Use a cold pack, ice bag, or a plastic bag filled with crushed ice that has been wrapped in a towel.
Compression: Compression of an injured ankle, knee, or wrist may help reduce the swelling. These include bandages such as elastic wraps, special boots, air casts and splints. Ask your doctor which is best.
Elevation: Keep the injured area elevated above the level of the heart. Use a pillow to help elevate an injured limb.
Edit: If you're not in excruciating pain there's probably no need for a doctor
although your boyfriend is away, especially if the swelling goes down overnight.

@ER, keep your foot up as much as possible and leave the veggies on it for a while if you can (edit: as post above). Is it still hurting? Can you bear weight on it?

Thanks guys.
It's not really bad or anything. I can put weight on it but it does hurt a little bit and the one side is swollen.
Edit: yup the smartest thing I can do at this point is go to bed and elevate it, thanks for you help everyone, have a good night! If anyone wants a stir fry you know where to come

Keep doing the ice and elevation if it's still swollen tomorrow... and they can recommend bandages or tubi-grip or whatever in the chemist if it's bad on Monday. Hope it feels better soon!
Hope you feel better tomorrow. Good night!

Ugh. It turns out now that the alcohol has worn off it really hurts, no more sleeping for me tonight.
Fortunately my boyfriend ignored me repeatedly nagging him to put his crutches in the basement so they were easily accessible for me. I think if it doesn't get better by tomorrow I may go visit a doctor after all.

Man I watched that...ugly. At one point the announcers were saying the refs should let clock run without stopping and it was still the third quarter. I have to say this those fans stayed untill the end gotta respect that.
Because after having her first weekend away without me and the kids in over 4 years all she has done since she got back is bitch and complain about what hasn't been done and spent the evening cleaning the f**king house. It's Sunday night for Christs sake.
"Thanks for looking after the kids. Sounds like they had a great time." "It was fantastic to get away but I'm really pleased to be back." So many easy ways to create a good atmosphere. What do I get. 'You haven't taken my bag out of the car'. Like we need the f**king bag at tea time.
I'm a little bit unimpressed...

The bank royally screwed up the final payment on my new place.
I will not be able to move tomorrow as planned. This means:
Making the Parketschleifer come another time.
Making the guy who is coming down from Rheinland something or other to renovate the bath wait a few days.
Cancelling the moving company appointment tomorrow.
Telling my neighbor she can't move in.
Telling the painter he has to come later.
Cancelling the cleaning lady.
Making another appointment for getting the new place.
Changing my vacation days at work.
I just hope it works out in the end. I am very pissed of with the guy in the bank who just always flirted with me and told me everything is fine, but then just sort of forgot this last little detail.
I don't usually get mad, but right now, I am fuming.

Take a hot bath for about 20 minutes with the relaxing additive of your choice (I used cherry-blossom stuff), drink a mix of magnesium, ACC de-congestant, vitamin C and zinc, go to bed wrapped up tight and sweat like mad. Sleep as long as possible, drink the same concoction again for breakfast, laze around to gather strength, soak in the sunshine. I was fever-free by Saturday evening, 24 hours after beginning the cure.

My best friend was here for the past four days and left today and I am feeling a bit lonely. I miss having friends here... I just miss having someone I can call and hang out with, not even necessarily doing anything, just enjoying each other's company.

I know people here, but it's not the same, and I'm sure with time I'll be friends with some people here, but after these four days I just feel a bit blue.
On top of that fall seems to have started over night. Yesterday was amazing and I got sunburnt even, and today was so cold and gray, blah!
