Ok, if a plane were on a treadmill, how long would it take to fly around W Cephei?
GreenTea
AAARRGH! NO!! PLEASE!!!

Is the treadmill in orbit around W Cephei?, or just drifting past? What about relativistic effects? unsure.gif

Just out of curiosity, did you get this off of digg? It was posted there a week or two ago. Excellent video.

Not long, cause the atmosphere of W Cephei is extremely hot, and the plane would melt in nanoseconds. laugh.gif

The real answer is 288,194 times the amount of time it takes to fly around the earth. As the record is 2.8 days, then that would be a little over 2,204 years.

Cool! I'd love to have a set of planet globes. If I had a chunk of money to spend on collecting rare antiques, I think I would collect orreries.
