I need more books again, and I also need pie. So I thought I'd combine the two.
Who's up for a book swap on Sunday afternoon? I was thinking of going to Weinerei on Veteran Str (spelling?) on Sunday at around 2pm (just off of Kastanian Allee). They do fantastic cheap homemade pies.
I'll bring a couple different types of books. Cheesy girly and more serious reads.

That's near my place, but not sure if the time works... will try to make it though. I've got a couple of books to liberate from shelves.

Like real pies?! With meat and cheese and stuff?! I wish I was living in Berlin, no such luxury goods here in the 50's Bavaria.

I wish I 'd known earlier I took lots of English fiction to the Hostel on Klockstr. But that Sunday Doings is really fun.I regret leaving Berlin already.London ,quite frankly, is shabby in comparison.

no. not those types pies. pie should never have miscelanious meat and gravy to hide it in. I'm talking about fruit pies. they do nice cakes too.
they also have sandwiches and sometimes soup at lunch.

Hi GlobalGirl!
Dang it! Once again, this is on a weekend I can't make it (sigh). I have tons of books to bring up and trade out, so maybe the next one. *crosses fingers*

I have to agree. Maybe it's another North American vs. English thing, but when I think pie, I think fruit and sugar.
I wish I could come, but I'm still sick.
Sorry I can't make it, since a place in Europe that makes real pies is something I'd like to see for myself. Plus I have a copy of Jane Eyre to get rid of. ;-)

Real pie=meat and cheese like below:

Your girlie fruity & sugary pies are fine as a dessert after you have indulged in manly meat & cheesiness
