Hi Guys
I have no clue how to go about organising British telly in Germany when we move there in March.
1. Is it poss?
2. How is it poss? I noticed that some of the places we have looked at renting include cable tv - is it possible to get all the freeview channels on that, or only via satellite?
3. Roughly how much will it cost a month?
Thanks very much in advance.

My good deed for the day. Enjoy.

Hello!

I just moved here and was wondering what the best ways are to recieve more english language channels on TV. Currently we only have CNN international over basic analog cable.
If we hook up a digital cable box will we recieve more channels (and better quality) for free automatically?

What are you guys doing, I think its not possible to install a dish and I dont know if pay TV like premiere lets you switch to English on Series and Movies.

Any help welcome

Well, I dont watch English-language TV but then I dont watch TV much at all.
My wife (German) glues to "Krimis" each evening on the TV...

TV isnt free for a start. We have German cable (which isnt free again) any yields 20+ channels rubbish(!).
We decided against digital cable. Could have gone for digital over antenna.

Dont sit so much in front of the TV. Get out and see what Hamburg and surrounds have to offer - at least before Winter returns & its all dark!

Is it possible to get American TV in Germany?

if you are in the US military you can buy a box to receive AFN. Otherwise, apart from CNN and CNBC, no you can't. Sky has substantial amounts of US programming, though.

That's really sad. I am going to miss grays anatomy and desperate housewives, and lost... lost is really fun... sad.gif

All those programmes are viewable on Sky with a satellite dish.
