Completely irrelevant post: just wanted to say I'm delighted you are all still playing squash and efficiently organising games! Sorry I didn't make it back in months, things have been a bit hectic and I got lazy. Anyway, I'll continue being lazy and wish you lots of fun playing in this heat.

Hi - I'm moving to Munich in September and am looking to join a club - does anyone know of one around the Schwabing/Maxvorstadt area? Or are the squash courts at Finess Schwabing the best I'm likely to get?

There are a number of squash facilities doted around the city, although I can only comment on RSCFit factory(horrible orange courts and expensive) and Squash and Fitness Schwabing - good friendly club and decent facilities , although the ceilings are somewhat low - seems to be standard here though.

I am on holiday for 3 weeks. So could I ask one of you folks just to keep an eye on the signups. I suggest Stephan and Andrew if you could book one court for next week also and cancel if necessary and agree between you who will be responsible.

People play squash on any other day as well. However that is more a 1-to-1 match, rather than having many people showing up.
But if you're up for a game, just post it and I'm sure someone is interested.

I'm unlikely to make it tomorrow due to excessive celebration of the three England (and a Scottish - I am half -Scottish!) victory today.

Since there has only been two or three people turning up recently, I'll cancel the court this week. There will be plenty of empty courts anyway if you do turn up.

I will be out of squash for the next 6 weeks or so as I have ruptured a couple of disks in my back. I am looking for someone to volunteer to keep the Sunday sessions ticking over in my absence.

Dear All,

It is regretable that no one showed for Squash this week. Even though there were 3 sign-ups!
I checked the registrations, if there were none then the court would have been cancelled.
Keeping these things running with minimal effort requires everyone's commitment.

The sessions are suspended and will be relaunched after a short break (4 weeks).
In the meantime I would like some feedback on whether people would prefer a regular night in the week instead of Sundays.

I would be normally interested in weekday games - as sometimes am away at weekends. But given its Chrimbo coming up chances are many people will find Sunday am's quite diff
How about aiming to restart Jan08 and make a concerted effort?

In the meantime, if anyone wants a regular game, please let me know

My thoughts are to arrange a club day in January with a fun squash tournament and some eats and drinks somewhere afterwards as a way to relaunch the squash. I will get a date from the Club in January and post the event and promote on here shortly.
