Betel leaves in Cologne

Hi everyone,

I have a major desire to make some of David Thompson's (he of Darley Street Thai to all you Australians out there) betel leaves topped with chilli and pomelo, and can source all the ingredients EXCEPT the betel leaves -aber natürlich. Does anyone know if there are any stores in Cologne which might stock them?

Without meaning to sound too discouraging, I really don't think you will find Betel leaves here but am happy to be proved wrong. Your best bet would be to try looking in Indian and Southeast Asian grocery stores.

There is an Indian shop in Lungengasse, quite near to Stadt Bibliothek in Neumarkt, where you can get Betel Leaves. Give me sometime, I will put in the correct address.
