yo...
would anyone be down to check out a museum this week?
seeing as i'm still currently unemployed, i'm trying to use my free time to absorb the vast offerings of art and culture this city has to offer. here's a couple exhibits i've found:
*there's a dali exhibit at the city quartier dom aquaree by hackescher market...http://dalimuseum.de/
*heinz mack at the pergamon museum...light sculptures and reflecting surfaces in the sahara, abstract sculpture, islam inspired art
http://www.smb.spk-berlin.de/smb/kalender/...10228&typeId=10*does anyone know if the tokyo-berlin exhibit is still going on at the neues museum?
i'm open to suggestions and my days are free, so let me know!

That one is over. It was shown at Neue Nationalgalerie.
I recommend Hamburger Bahnhof:
Felix Gonzales-Torres.
Guggenheim Museum currently shows some works by Joseph Beys and some other guy, but the museum is rather small.

Hi.. I'd be down to go to a museum with you this week. I highly recommend the Hanburger Bahnhof, I really enjoy it, but I haven't seen the Dali stuff either. I love visiting museums.
Let me know!

wednesday is just fine for me. just to let you know, the Hamburger Bahnhof is free on Thrusdays between 2-4 pm.
Which museum(s) did you have in mind?
haven't been to the neue galerie since the berlin-tokyo show, and i've walked by the karl lagerfeld thing, but haven't gone in. also don't know how good that would be.
i've also seen rebecca horn at the Martin-Gropius-Bau, but the rest of the shows that are up I haven't seen.
i'll go to all! let me know.

No problem on the info - when you have no money, it's always fun to know what things you can do for free.
If you guys decide to head up on a weekend or something let me know as I've only seen a few of the museums.
Oh - I also think I'll mention it in passing - if you get tired of Art, you might check out the Spandaus Zitadelle and/or schloss Charlottenburg. I'm not sure if there's an admittance fee for either of those (not been there myself), but they might be a good change. (Both can be gotten to by s/u bahn).

actually, it all depends on what's going on at the Zitadelle-thingy as to whether or not it costs to get in i reckon. theres almost always something going on there plus there's some displays and what-not.
the restaurant is expensive but looks great! we'll give er a whirl one a these moons...

what is also cool is the Deutsches Technikmuseum. i thought it was going to be a bit geeky for me, but it ended up being really fun! and they have all these other branches, (astronomy museum, etc), that i never got to see.
i'm always around for a museum..weekend or weekday. when anyone has interest, just let me know!! compared to the list linked above, i've seen just a fraction of what there is to do here.
