So the Spanish government is suspending all moves towards dialog with ETA.

QUOTE
"I have decided to suspend all initiatives for dialogue with Eta," Mr Zapatero told a news conference.
Officials said Eta had made a call to claim the attack.

not to be pedantic (well, okay, to be totally pedantic) isn't it misleading to say "no casualties" in the thread title, when in fact several were injured?

No, you're not stupid, Leeza biggrin.gif
I actually made a slip-up myself by not adding in my second post the word Update (or something) next to the note about the 19 injuries. By the time I thought about it it was too late - the Edit function for the post was no longer available. sad.gif

Sounds so like ETA style.

I left the Corte Englis (madrid) store about three hours before they bombed their parking garage in 2000. I was on the train heading south with no idea it got bombed untill I arrived in Alicante.

When I take the bus to work I go staight through that very spot ohmy.gif Not surprisingly it affected air traffic that day, but today everything was back to normal

I was just reading the latest update from the International Herald Tribune (2 People Remain Missing After Madrid Car Bombing Blamed on Basque Separatists). The number of injuries has climbed to 26. Officials believe that two men from Ecuador were sleeping inside two separate parked cars, and they're now missing in the rubble.

This is a bit sad, only a bit because not many people were killed apparently. Seeing as Mr. Zapatero was voted into office for as a reward for his terrorism support policy after the Madrid bombings, I think the consequences of these bombings might be worrying. Things you see from here, you don't see from there, says the song.

They found the body of one of the two poor fellas: Remains Found at Madrid Bomb Site.

QUOTE
The remains of Ecuadorean immigrant Carlos Alonso Palate were located in a car in the heavily damaged parking garage at Madrid Barajas Airport's Terminal 4, where an ETA van bomb exploded Saturday. They had not yet been removed. [...]Palate, in his mid-30s, had remained in his car, apparently sleeping, Saturday while a companion went inside the terminal to pick up someone arriving on a flight.

The other is still missing:

QUOTE
The second missing man, another Ecuadorean immigrant, Diego Armando Estacio, 19, was still being sought. Authorities said there was little chance of finding him alive, given the huge blast and the ensuring fire at the airport garage, which caved in.
