While sex scandals turn over quickly in this city, lawsuits do not. Steinbuch's case over the embarrassing, sexually charged blog appears headed for an embarrassing, sexually charged trial.

Lurid testimony about spanking, handcuffs and prostitution aside, the Washingtonienne case could help establish whether people who keep online diaries are obligated to protect the privacy of the people they interact with offline.

Cutler, a former aide to Sen. Mike DeWine, R-Ohio, says she created the blog in 2004 to keep a few friends up to date on her social life. Like a digital version of the sex-themed banter from a "Sex and the City" episode, Cutler described the thrill and tribulations of juggling sexual relationships with six men.

what a bitch. seriously. good for him to sue her. but now that i think about it. this is old news, right?

i too have my blog and i am very careful about which private details i divulge. i've even gone so far as to remove my bf's name from any posts. i asked him how he felt about it and he said he would prefer not to be named even though i post pics of us, but private is private. it is for friends & family, but anyone can access it if they know where to look.

what if she published a book? no difference there. she could be sued. what if she wrote an article? the written word is powerful. we all have to remember that! even Toytown - be careful waht you post, it may come back to bite you in the ass.

did she actually name names, though?
in the bits that are posted under the link it's only initials
it's no worse than the girl with the one track mind blog, i don't reckon

Well according to her blog, the initials were changed but the details posted on the blog were pretty detailed. I mean she told many facts about the guys she got together with and after all there is a certain number of staff at the Capital Hill so it wouldn't hard to guess which guy is described by the insiders at least. What I found to be funny was that she was seeing six guys at once, I mean three would be already too hard shuffle.

the insiders might have guessed who she was on about, but that would have been the end of it - a bit of embarrassment at work, and he might even have got a few extra shags out of it as an unexpected bonus.

the fact that the whole world knows is purely down to him bringing it to trial, imo

I read part of it , and found myself bored, actually daydreaming while trying to focus on this blog. I can see why the gents are a little teed off. Well whatever its out there so lets see where this goes.

Just another attention Whore with nothing better to do than try to get noticed. Reminds me of that bird who messed around with Vince Vaughn in Prague and posted all the details of the affair on her blog "for her friends to see". Apparently she had no idea that it could be read by the whole world and, apparently, be used as a reason for Jennifer Aniston to dump him..

I can only assume that these people never got enough attention from Mummy and Daddy when they were young and are trying to make up for it now
