Online scrabble

My second favourite way of wasting time

Sometime's I have too much time to waste. TT just isn't enough. So I've become quite a big fan of playing online scrabble at the Internet Scrabble Club server: http://www.isc.ro/

I thought this might be interesting for the many TT users who sometimes have difficulty slacking their way through the working day. There's a small download (very lo-fi software) and it's free, quick and simple. If you try it out, I'm "jayhay" there as well, send me a message and we can play a game.

Registering a nick is one thing but I don't think I'm going to install some "interface" from a Romanian site. Call me silly if you must.

woof.

Hey Jayhay,

Do you play scramble on Yahoo too? I also play a lot of board and card games on Yahoo and MSN.

p.s. I am also sceptical of the Romanian site.
Malt-Teaser
I know quite a few other players (not TT) who use this site regularly and have no problems.

The website is located in Romania because the software was originally developed as a school project by a Romanian Scrabble enthusiast. According to the website of the MIT Scrabble club, the website remains hosted in Romania to avoid Hasbro copyright infringements. As an asides, the second administrator of the ISC is a former French Scrabble champion. For more background check wikipedia.

I've been using the software for well over a year now and I play every day. I've never had any problems at all.

@Lifeisabuffet - I only play through the ISC, since I've been so impressed with the interface and the ISC community (apart from being beaten hands-down by a 12-year-old from Singapore last week). I'd be interested if anyone knows a place I could play Boggle online without paying though.

Don't forget that in a couple of day the Romanians are just part of this one great big happy European family.

This means that they will be as welcome here in Germany in 2007 as the Brits/Frogs/Itis, and more welcome (technically speaking) than say the Americans and Canadians. FACT.

I've been addicted to this for the past week. Playing some nights/mornings until 4:00 am and having to get up next day for work/kids... I love scrabble. It's really good, thanks for the tip...

Sweet! I'd been using Scrabulous thus far, but it's great to have another option. Thanks for the link! biggrin.gif

I was excited about this at first, but now that I keep getting my ass kicked I'm being forced to reconsider what I had always considered my superior scrabble skills. *sigh* At least I still get to go home at Christmas and beat the scrabble pants off my mother.

Another one here that's quite good
