Hey I am an American student looking for a job to occupy my summer. What kind of summer jobs are there?? Any help would be greatly appreciated...Specific job suggestions are welcomed...

I had a cousin work at a hotel for a summer, that is probably your best bet. Of course it goes without saying that you need to speak German. If you don't mind me asking why are you interested in working in Germany for the summer?

You could probably get a job in a hostel or Irish pub without speaking the lingo. Good luck.

I think Mike's Bikes hires for the summer...(thats a bike tour company in the city, FYI)
Though I see you are looking in Berlin...not sure if they have it there. But I knwo there is this great free walking tour thing, maybe they are hiring...

the walking tour company is called New Berlin. And there are always Au Pair jobs to be had.

It's too late to apply to most tour companies except for New Berlin, which is a free walking tour where you work for tips, although I hear that you can still earn decent money fairly easily.
You might be a little too late to apply for work at an english language summercamp (just google english summer camp germany on google and email all of them)
Short term aupair work is normally fairly hard to find although some people do occassionally hire aupairs just for the summer.
